It is a myth. UK is living on debt. Struggling with the cost of living has always been the case. It is a state of being for people who cannot manage money and make no provision for the future. Many people have "artificial poverty" with money tied up in property.
House repossessions is a good indicator.

I do not quite understand why no one is complaining about King Charles s £45m pay rise in 2025 . It is an outrage. He does not need anymore money off the back of the British citizens and taxpayers.
In Wales the King s pay rise is wrapped up in the issue of the Senedd taking over the running of the Crown Estate from whom KC3 got his HUGE pay rise. Reform and Tories are against it as they do not represent Welsh interests. |  |
