You said on the match thread yesterday that you couldn't get a stream so you didn't watch the game, true or false. You criticised players that you didn't watch true or false. You said that 2,500 did not turn up for the Ospreys game last night, true or false. It is incorrect because the current capacity is 7,000. Is what I have posted here correct or not.

No. I couldn't care less about the Ospreys. If I'm being honest I expect the crowds to shrink again once the novelty of a new ground wears off. I know several people who went last night who otherwise haven't bothered going in years. I'm not here lecturing people about things that I can't be bothered to do myself though. I do possess some self-awareness. Unlike others. [Post edited 25 Oct 9:31]

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

In fairness I know a few people who didn't like playing in our ground, it's too big, lacked atmosphere with 4-5k in there and didn't feel like home. St Helens is the home of rugby in Swansea. On the OP, I read about the losses and part of that is poor ticket sales. maybe if they stopped people taking beer to their seats and reduced prices a bit then genuine rugby fans would start going again, I know people who refuse to oay their stupid ticket prices. Also, maybe more than a few don't go out of protest at what the WRU is on the verge of doing, they have pi$$ed a lot of people of with their plans.

yes, if it was their own business they would care more about the fans' dissent but they are just bloated paychecks who really don't care. To them it is about what they show they did on their cv's.

The crowds will also depend on success on the field. Currently they are the highest Welsh team and in the play-offs, having done their South African tour. Next three are Cardiff Rugby, Leinster and the Scarlets. That should be 3 sell-outs, though some won't go to Leinster as it's a probable loss. The big test will be Edinburgh on a cold, late January afternoon. That's one for the die hard fans only!
| WRU £18M loss for the latest financial year on 18:22 - Oct 25 with 568 views | Togg | Watching YouTube tonight. New Zealand RFU huge losses and they are the number one product for Rugby Union in the world. The most watched Rugby code recently has been League with many of the younsters signining on for League clubs especially those whose families originate from the Pacific Islands. Better starting money. | | | |
| WRU £18M loss for the latest financial year on 20:52 - Oct 25 with 531 views | ReslovenSwan1 | The Ospreys must have calculated 8000 crowds are adequate to generate a profit If they do become successful where will they play. With 3000 fabs locked out the only way to profit from success is to increase season ticket and ticket prices. The strategy of shrinkage makes no economic sense. | |

Yeah and most of the players in those squads came from the west , yet they want to drop one WRU has over 300 employees, doing what,I don’t know…except draining the coffers to fill their back pockets Same as the Welsh Assembly,Why has every thing got to go to Scumdiff Just like what my mate from the Rhondda says , as far as the WA is concerned, when it comes to investment,”Wales is anywhere within 3 miles of the assembly building itself , and as far as the WRU is concerned Cardiff is Welsh rugby” WRU ,Corrupt to the core ,always has been Get former players like A W J , involved in running Rugby in Wales not freeloaders

The strategy is to give them and their fans their own home. If they need to expand the ground in the future I'm sure it's possible. What you fail to understand is they want control of their own stadium, much like our football owners wanted control of our ground. It's not just for the Ospreys either, it's for the Amateur team, Swansea RFC and is designed as a community hub. You call it shrinkage but it's only the stadium that's smaller, they are hoping to pull in larger average crowds at their own home. Time will tell. [Post edited 26 Oct 17:43]

Swansea RFC have played a couple of games there already and I believe the University will also be playing there. Use of facilities at the fast developing National Institute for Sport and Health at Sketty Lane will be available for all the teams. This is all part of a £150M development which many don't know about, I was looking at the progess this morning and its staggering. Swansea is at the cutting edge of Sports technology and development. In my mind the Council, University, Health board and Swansea Bay City Deal should be applauded. St Helens is just part of the major sporting investment by the council in that area. The council are right behind the Ospreys and in my mind will succeed with or without the WRU. https://www.swanseabaysportspa

I think, after a succession of poor councils, the current lot are doing much better, there seems to be a direction and they are definitely behind improving Swansea's sporting status. Maybe the price being paid by our owners is being reinvested in other sporting projects? The Ospreys have supporters outside Wales too and there is speculation about them joing the English set up, a few English clubs seem interested.

The project is expected to generate a thousand new jobs. The facilities will also accelerate Swansea near the top of the sporting University's in the UK rivaling the likes of Loughborough for facilities and development, this will encourage top athletes in many sports to come to Swansea. Forward thinking by the council, heavily backed by the Swansea Bay City Deal, we are very fortunate.

Lando Norris did some pre-season assessments in Swansea organised by McLaren I believe this year. Getting teams and individuals of that calibre coming here on a regular basis because it’s a centre of excellence would be enormous. I hope the teams thrive off it, the Swans and Ospreys particularly.

Beware of Greeks offering gifts or something like that. Don't trust any of them especially the megalomaniacs Dave and Abi. Back to the Dragons or Newport. What are they good for ... absolutely nothing. Rewarding absolute mediocrity and that's being kind. Most of my time following the Whites they were a joke. Biggest and best team in Gwent was Pontypool. Even with that psycho Bishy playing for them. Good player to be fair. Nutcase off the pitch though. I will leave at that on that one.

I have to agree. I've never voted Labour in my life. However I think Rob Stewart has been amazing. He realises the impact of losing first class Rugby to Swansea and its environs will be a disaster. Both on the playing front and the economy of the area. St Helens. Okay parkings not great. However a plethora of pubs and eating establishments on its door step. Uplands, Bryn Y Mor Road. The Rhydinngs shortly reopening is going to be a big one. City centre 20 minute walk.

The Patti Pavilion was open as a pub on Saturday and I believe that will be the way it operates from now on. Edit https://swanseabaynews.com/pat [Post edited 26 Oct 19:20]

Lots of racing teams fly in to Pembrey international airport and test at Pembrey circuit. Could we also get passport and customs facilities at Swansea? That would certainly help.
