The general consensus-Clem out 16:16 - Dec 14 with 2013 viewsChief

And this seems to have increased since last night, but why?
1) Has his 27 point haul last season been forgotten?
2) Has it been forgotten that the board sold our top scorer and assister in the summer&didn't properly replace them?
3) What did people expect would happen last night? Yes we gave them two soft goals, then its game over. Did people the players to kill themselves chasing shadows, stay on the pitch for 90 (bony) or 'get into them' and risk cards/suspensions?
4) What manager out there who's a realistic target would do better with this squad?

Maybe many are worried he is only a 27 points per season man.....where does that leave us?

And I'm not 100% sold on him by thr way. New obviously a yes man and the treatment of mesa was poor.

We obviously don't know what's going on behind the scenes in terms of what's being said between manager and the board. There are clues of course. But... clement said in the last day or so that if the club wants to stay in this league we need to get quality in. That in my book means spending. It also means that he feels he's not been supported as he's saying it just befor the window. Problem is, he should have been saying it last summer. And for that he's toast and has to go! Too late clement.

1. No, but we need him to keep us up this season as well. If it’s good enough for Ranieri and Rodgers, it’s good enough for Clement.
2. Again, no. We had a real chance to progress with all the transfer income this summer. We didn’t and apart from not getting enough out of the players we did sign, that’s not his fault.
3. It’s not last night people want him sacked for, it’s the season as a whole.
4. Probably someone out of left field. Off the top of my head, I’d rather Koeman, Pulis or Guidolin to Clement. Not sure if any of them are feasible and there are probably better options anyway.

I mentioned this last week, tactically he is sound, he has a wealth of knowledge but he clealry isn't filling the players with confidence or belief they can carry it off. Spurs away was a one off he got away with it and this is clearly inspired him to continue this negativity in to games like this. Problem is when he switched tactics to win games, like Saturday, Brighton home etc ... the players are struggling to deliver. Partly because half of them are not good enough and are cheap buys ( there is a difference to buying one or two excellent deals and filling a whole team with them.
Bony and Mesa aside.
He has won extra time in his post because of last season, had this not happened he would be long gone. As to who replaces him that's always the question, I get the feeling Pulis is waiting in the wings but hesitate to say Jenkins will employ him as within a short space of time he will be at loggerheads and Jenkins wants yes men.
At the moment we have no choice to stick with Clement, HE probably has three games to turn this round, we have to win at least one of them or he could be gone.
It's a mess, a huge mess, Jenkins has taken the plaudits now he has to take the criticism, a dedicated Swans supporter would step down, but its money doing the talking. Everyone wants it, nobody will give it up and the failures playing in our club's shirt don't get penalised, a vomllrte mis mash of cheap players on millions - each and every one of them.
If we get out of this every one is happy, Jenkins stays in a job.
If we don't every one is unhappy but what HAPPENS to Jenkins ?
Without huge pressure I would imagine nothing.
This is all about money and everyone at the club in management and playing staff have more than any of us will ever know. That's the issue. And sadly its the key issue that means nobody will step aside, so without real organised chaos thats how it will remain.

There is one thing that people cannot accept - Jenkins is going nowhere.
That is whether we succeed or fail this season and in future seasons.
Unless there is another takeover and there is a total clean sweep.

Pretty much agree with this, he’ll go when the Americans sell up IMO

He was given the benefit of the doubt due to last season, and now we're ten games further along with no improvement.

Guidolin was sacked at the start of October after similarly saving us in his first six months and having his squad gutted. It's the middle of December and Clement's still here.

The club needs fresh ideas and a fresh approach at management level, if we keep Clement into the new year we are down.

If he has the sense to go with that system and the majority of that side he put out last night (one or two changes maybe) against the lesser teams, we will get better over the rest of the season as thats the strongest set up

Bet he doesnt though

It's probably already been put in place by snakey Jenkins. Clemo will be sacked on Tuesday with little Leon being thrown under the bus with trundle and tate as his coaches. then hoping the crowd get behind it's favourite current sons leaving Jenkins an easier Christmas and selling a few season tickets off the hype. Oh and it will give the club a lift before the huge palace game.
Cynical diluded or just clutching at straws?

If would also give Jenkins one last transfer window to play real life championship manager before riding off into the spanish sunset riding his cash cow

Is there a reason he is still here? Perhaps his contract had a guarantee of 1 years employment when he came, or a mega payout if he goes before, He doesn't seem worried about getting the sack, yet his performance as manager doesn't justify his continued employment.
I reckon gone after the Wolves defeat
