Kasper Junker is the other striker we are looking at according to reports 27 goals in 25 games for Bodo Glimt in the Danish League.

| Max Watters - Crawley on 09:19 - Dec 22 with 2638 views | onehunglow | Pity some of the profit from Dan James isnt available to pay such a modest sum,or indeed Rodon or McBurnie . Where's it gone folks. Will this possible "action" disclose just wtf has been going on . | |

This from on of their former owners who works their on a consultancy basis: “Clubs offering £1m for Watters ? He is 21 ! I negotiated 1.2m for a 27 year old 8 years ago! £2,250,000 25% on future transfers £500,000 in bits. Goals/Apps. £250,000 if he finishes top scorer in his division. £3,000,000 package or tell them to get stuffed !” Assuming it's from a bid in the summer, will most likely be out of our price range unless with Covid they need to cash in. Plenty of competition for his signature though.

Just because a bid is rejected it doesn't mean we are not going to up it. Anyway we should not be paying over the odds, if we feel he is worth £500K we should not be paying £1M. Negotiation time. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Hope we get someone in and I don't disagree with that which you say . I just wish ,seriously,I was lucky enough to hold a position to both source players and negotiate for them. We have not always screwed up ,Siggi's fee being a good example but some real howlers followed.

Profit from a players sale doesn't remain company profit if there is a loss elsewhere.

| Max Watters - Crawley on 10:07 - Dec 22 with 2591 views | 34dfgdf54 | Out of contract in the summer aswell, anyways, checking out his videos I'm not 100% sure he would fit in to how we play. Looks a decent finisher in the box, big lump, not overly mobile, similar to Vik. He would more than likely be cover for Ayew for the rest of this season and then will fill that hole when Ayew leaves. Would we create the chances for him? For me our problems in front of goal are more from the lack of creativity in midfield, would we create the chances for this guy? | | | |

| Max Watters - Crawley on 11:56 - Dec 22 with 2502 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Danes have a track record in making good money from overcharging for footballers. In the early Benteke era there was a fashion for finding big centre forwards from the European lowlands. Cornealius came in down the road and at the same time a striker called hellenius went to Villa for megbucks and barely had a kick in claret and blue. | |

I have to disagree with you there. We could have taken the same fee at the start of the transfer window. This would have allowed us to reinvest some of it in players who could have spent the Summer settling into the team. Instead we waited until the final day (s) where our primary targets were now unavailable and we went into the season with our weakest squad in the Premier League to date. One could argue it was the most detrimental transfer negotiation in the history of our club. [Post edited 23 Dec 2020 5:05]

Don't be taken in by this nonsense, the sale of James is paying for the entire major league US football and keeps, Rooney's wages and large sections of the NASA space programme ... and that's after the owners have pockets $billions for themselves.

Yep. Thought you had nobbed off in protest at the clueless clowns like me posting shyte . Look after yourself and family and hope we can lock horns for sometime yet. Ive been rather reticent and restrained this year but hopefully I 'll be back to top form next year. You can hire a room ,I'll contact Phil Warwick and we can sell tickets . Better than the bland bollox at a Trust meeting innit.

Out of contract this coming Summer?? And the ex Chairman was spouting that crap? The boy can sign a pre-contract agreement next month can't he and he'd go for nothing (or nominal, depending on his age and development)? Is that last bit right?
