I’ve said for a while I think it’s a genuine possibility. That source doesn’t look exactly trustworthy mind haha, but still, he has made all his money and doesn’t seem bothered about what levels he plays at any longer.

Adam Brown said it was happening a few weeks back, he’s the Spanish based Cardiff fan, bit of an idiot so not sure what to read into it. I would be very surprised personally though, as stated on the other thread, he scored 11 in 20 Spurs Premier League games last season. Puts him top in the goals to minutes ratio in the Premier League, he has a lot of life left in him at the top if he is played in the correct role. Skybet have made Cardiff favourite at 3/1 which has excited them, but they don’t understand that it’s that way because “to remain at Real Madrid” isn’t in the market, if it was then it would look a whole lot different.

I assume Bale wants another 2 years and a possible World cup to wrap up his careers at 33. He has slowed down but played 4 games for Wales with no real issues. At Cardiff he will be given his own personal trainers as happened with Craig Bellamy. Some sums. a) Scenario A: Bale play 4 games at Real Madrid. Is generally unfit for Wales. Wales fail to get into the World up. Bale retires 2022. Glory = 1/10 Cash = +£30m. b) Scenario B. Bale gets half his wages £15m off RM and signs a two year deal with Cardiff City. Tan underwrites £10m £5m x 2 years. Admiral sign a sponsorship deal with CCFC to help them with costs. Only £1m more than what Swansea were paying for Ayew. Bale plays until 2023 then retires. Wales qualify for the World cup and meets the Emir of Qatar. Glory 8/10. Cash = £25m. Bale wll lose £5m but Brains and Admiral will help with this. Sorry folks its looking like a 'no brainer' to me. Wouldn't rule anything out but I think there has probably been a few bets on after the comments about his next move surprising people.

| Bale to Cardiff on 16:06 - Jun 27 with 2836 views | Catullus | Two reasons why this seems unlikely, Real Madrid won't pay him up and let him leave. If he wants to move to abother club they'll want a fee so unless he agrees to cancel his contract at Real, I don't see that happening. Then I don't see Tan agreeing to underwrite a multi million deal to get Bale, Tan has been cutting their wage blll, will he suddenly change tack and spend maybe 15-20 million, even for Garteh Bale? Of course Bale could agree to play for very little or even nothing because he is very rich and Perez may just want rid of him but with such large sums of money involved it seems unlikely to me. What role will Bale play at Cardiff? What kind of football is McCarthy planning next season? Seems to me there'd need to be a big change in style to fit Bale in. | |

Bale and McCarthy discussing tactics and football strategy. That’s one football sitcom.

| Bale to Cardiff on 16:28 - Jun 27 with 2792 views | jackrabbit | It is highly credible. Playing for his hometown club must be hugely attractive to Bale, who must not have too many financial worries I would have thought. Bale enjoys adulation and he’d get shedloads of adulation from a drooling Cardiff fan base. However, I’m not too sure how, once the novelty wears off, he’d enjoy a wet Tuesday night in Middlesbrough or Millwall. His life has been somewhat more glamorous in recent years. But he’d be a huge fish in a small pond and he’d love that. Some great golf in South Wales as well. That would definitely help the cause. | | | |

He's decent in the air and was at his peak when Wales were playing 5 at the back "defend defend defend then nick one" football in qualifying for 2016.

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |
