Bashing the BBC is fashionable these days and it is my opinion that fashion has been encouraged by Rupert Murdoch who owns media outlets competing with the BBC. Sky Australia has a rabid anti man made global warming narrative.

If Murdoch smashes the BBC he has a clear run to select the UK government. The influence of the Sun on the British people was seen in Brexit. Only two or three urban areas in the north and Midlands voted to stay. Stroud was one and the other as Liverpool where the Sun has no influence.

The recent anti BBC Wales thread was taken up by those promoting the fashionable running down of the BBC with jumped up fake accusations of a pro Cardiff bias. Punters dancing to the tune of Mr Murdoch. Promoting fake news is right up g his street.
