Last time I actually believed what a manager said in a press conference must have been in the 90’s before I realised it’s meaningless nonsense. You have to use your common sense and read past what they are actually saying.
Let’s not forget it was only around 6 months ago he was telling MK Dons fans he was staying for the long term only to leave 2 days later. Again he wasn’t going to say “nah I’m off”.
I have never understood why managers even do press conferences anymore, and get asked the type of questions they get asked when you know you aren’t going to get the truth.
Who’s injured, who is fit… that’s about all these things are good for. The rest is just noise. | |

I’d say he almost certainly does.
When he was at MK he said “I know people will be criticising me for saying this again…” when he was talking about “should have won, we dominated”.
I think they were very much saying the same thing at the time. Considering the country was in lockdown he must have been talking about forums/Twitter etc | |
