Swansea City v Hull City : Matchday Thread 22/23 19:34 - Sep 14 with 10305 viewsNotLoyal

It’s an odd world, unless you let goals in consistently in injury time, then it just becomes a pain in the Humberside.

Swansea City : Friday night pre match : ‘We’ve been so unlucky’ 16th Sep 2022 16:12
If tomorrows SKY game at the swansea.com stadium is to be the turning point for Russell Martin it really must happen tomorrow. If we reflect back on the swans 1969/70 season with a start of two wins in nine that led to a third placed finish that season we have to have some hope. 0

Swansea City v Hull City : Two managers on the brink ? 17th Sep 2022 09:00
Swansea City take on Hull City this afternoon in an early kick off that the swans really must win to convince the clubs majority owners all is well at the swans. Russell Martin is desperate to carry the flag forwards after an upturn in performances in recent games at least. But now it really is about results. 1

Swansea City dominate and ram home their quality at last ! 17th Sep 2022 15:11
Russell Martin was delighted at the end of this afternoons game as his team brushed aside a pretty mundane and clueless Hull City. Despite no goals in the first half when really the swans should have scored three at least the second half was as good as we’ve seen this season. 0

Making more changes and we on the 10 game. I didn't do this many when I was a kid on football manager. What are we so close at not scoring and conceding.

3 -1 to the swans, unless there's a lot of extra time, if that's the case... 3-3

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I think that is optimism at it's blindest. As for the playoffs not a chance in hell, he should have already gone by now. If the board do find the cajones and sack him within the next week or so we could achieve them then.

Edit - form and the kick off time might see our lowest ever Championship attendance due to this insufferable clown and fraud of a manager, I hope people stay away in their droves to send a message to the board.

Sadly have to agree with all of this. Sometimes you need to go on a self induced step back to go forward. He’s just not up to it and it’s plain for all to see.

And as for 4-1, as much as we’d all love to see that, it’s not remotely likely.

Remember that thread about us losing the next games and would it be cost worth paying?
QPR result gave him stay of execution.

I hope we win today mainly as points are now clearly hard to come by and we surely have to stay up .

Entertaining football should be sidelined until we can get winning games and points .

Yes agreed, it’s getting to the point where we need points by any means. We are closing in on a quarter of the season already.

It fair made me throw up when one of our posters stated he thought the last game was entertaining and another enjoyed it all.

I’ve yet in my lifetime heard or seen any such sheet when fans stroll away after a game when the team concedes in the last minute for the sixth time in as many months .

That is not supporting a team, that accepting defeat ,which we should never do

You can enjoy a game but not enjoy the result.
Seen many games over the years which have been thrillers yet not ended as I would have wished.
Obviously gutted at many results but doesn't mean game wasn't enjoyable.
On the reverse can think of many wins under Hollins, Sousa and Cooper that bored the pants off me

Directly, no. But he’s the manager. He is responsible for everything on the pitch. The good and the bad. He’s got to install confidence in him somehow.

Sorinola can’t deliver a bloody ball into the box, can he!

It’s about coaching and making players better.
Martin isn’t

Consider that corner …just now. From a professional footballer

It’s only 17 mins in but you get the feeling it ain’t going to happen.

On current evidence this should be a 4-0 win but…

Same old story, no issues with the formation, build up and making chances but we just can’t put them away. How much longer this can be acceptable I don’t know. But one goal, just one goal.
