I believe it was us who said he had the capacity to change if memory serves. Right?
The “patience” types said he wouldn’t change and shouldn’t change and the players would just “get better” at it (?!).
But as you say at least people are now recognising the change, it was denied for a long time and said it was a figment of people’s imagination.

Even if you discount the Burnley game that's still a goal a game being conceded. Way too many. Nearly a goal and a half per game on average over the season so far, many of them due to stupid mistakes.
For all the bipping about changing the way we attack, there's still a lot of work that needs doing on our defending. It's been the glaring weak point of the entire Martin era and is the single biggest obstacle to our progression. Defend better against Stoke, Millwall and Sheff Utd and we'd currently be top of the table by two points. Those are the margins we need to tighten up on. [Post edited 21 Oct 2022 9:33]

If you looked at the highlights Darling made a similar mistake as the one that led to the goal just before the lights failed but Cabango came across to assist and cover just incase Darling made a mistake.
For Darlings mistake that lead to the goal, Fulton while getting back he should have come across to cover Darling with more urgency the same as Cabango did in the first instant.
Bad defending on Fulton part he didn't get back quick enough, although nobody else seemed to be trying to get back leaving us short of defenders in that instance.
Just a thought is it a case of over confidence
That Darling isn't going to be forced into a mistake(poor defensive mindset)
And
will Darling be able to hold up the attacker so that midfielder coming back doesn't have to go full pelt to cover, so conserving valuable energy to last the 90 mins( again bad defensive mindset)

Nah, it went when my Koi pond build got into full swing, it was a cracking bike, considering I'd always mostly had Blades, but it hardly got used and I was a tad nervous with the way the roads are today, very few give a thought for other's and are always in a rush, and combine that with those that can't put their phones down for 10 seconds, it was time to pack it all in. | | | |
