Gone to Forest Green on a permanent transfer.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

He will do well there, League one atm, not a huge wage off the books and was becoming the forgotten man.

Clearly not going to get his opportunity here

A neat finisher but his ability on the ball was nowhere near the standard required. Being fast is one thing, being fast in football is another.

Might kick on from here but more likely he's found his level.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Nope, no chance, Martin is gonna box himself into a corner if he's not careful and end up with a depleted squad if players aren't replaced, there seems to be a big push to clear the decks with very little coming in, I know Whitts is back, but after reading what Martin said it doesn't look very promising for him here, with Paterson and Obafemi personsa non grata, plus Ntcham looking to fly the nest the cupboard will be looking bare.

Max it's only fair if they are very unlikely to ever play for us to let him fly the nest and take their chance. Squad players in my opinion will be replaced. Its going to be probably our busiest January ever.

Thats the crux of it replacing "squad" players with guess what other"squad" players, because Martin fancies them, Like Fisher and Darling who has improved in fairness looking a decent player at moment.

I'm all for shifting squad players out as long as they are replaced by better squad players, otherwise its better the devil you know.

Garrick.
Just how can people judge him bearing on mind how long he had on field of play

We have a coach that can improve players and why not him or Joseph or Whittaker or Ogbeta etc etc .

An utter waste

We cant generally.
However the manager and his team can and do.
That is what they get paid the big bucks for.
We just get to see the end product, mostly in the first team games.

He was judged on his time at three lower leagues clubs, all things must come to an end.

Another with pace, removed from the club. Sounds like Oba will be next after Oko Flex going back.

Garrick not the greatest with the ball, a bit of a Mo Barrow type but pace is always handy to have around as it’s the one trait (along with maybe height actually) that makes it almost impossible to defend.

Who do we have left in the squad with pace?

He joined Forest Green Rovers after playing regularly for the last 2 seasons.......i think it tells you the whole story when he leaves a championship team for one at the foot of league 1.

I would have loved for him to come back and succeed but ultimately isn't up to the level we are at presently. Hopefully the guy pushes on and proves us wrong but I would suspect that today's outcome is the best all round.

Good luck at Forest Green Higgo 👍

Leon Britton left for a club at the foot of league 2.

He was outstanding and could have played leagues above him, even at that stage in his career.

Judging a player simply on the metrics of the league/club they play for is not representative of the truth, as we can attest over the years.

See where you are coming from but the 2 are not quite comparable. Garrick has had nigh on 17 months out on loan showcasing his ability and would certainly be open to offers and likely the best offer.......he signed for Forest Green.

Britton had is hear set on a return to Swansea. I have no fear that he likely turned down other clubs to return to Swansea.

Plenty of players drop down the league and stay there, some go lower down and others start climbing back up the league....hopefully it's the latter for Garrick but presently he is clearly not good enough for the championship as this next move suggests.

Britton had no affiliation to Swansea at the time, regardless of what he says since. He hadn’t heard of Swansea City prior and was there for half a season.

Had there been greater offers then he would have gone (as he did with Sheff Utd). I don’t for one second believe a teenage Leon Britton turned down higher League offers to come and play at the foot of league 2.

Otherwise shouldn’t we afford Garrick the same assumption? That he was desperate to go back and play for Forest Green despite interest from massive clubs?

So we were the only offer for a teenage Briton at West Ham in your opinion? Fair enough.

11 years later he finally makes it as a premier league player, for me that would suggest that West Ham made the right call 11 years prior. I bet West Ham let a lot of other teenage players leave at that time who didn't progress.....for instance their captain of their successful youth team who many thought would go on and play for England.....Izzy Iriekpen.

Some don't progress once they move down, very few do but you can't wait around for ever for something that might never happen........the boy needs to play football and currently he's not up to it at the kev we are at.

Hopefully as I say....he does progress in the future as Leon did.
