The first bit of washing is done, can’t see Winter getting through this.

They appointed him! Never, at any time, have I had confidence in the man. The club has slowly gone backwards since Birch left. The Americans need to lift their arses and spend a solid month here. There is only so much you can glean from Zoom calls.

I genuinely felt over the first year he had enough nouse to ore plan as was his forte’ at other clubs. It seems he is either working his ticket by not getting the job done or is utterly incompetent.

Either way he's shown he doesn't have future with us

Depressing isn’t it.
I feel myself drifting away from it all mate.
It’s been a long haul but I see no prospect of any glory, success or achievements .
The sale ,much discussed, truly has proved catastrophic at least if one has any ambition .

Bloody hell Richard, with respect of course, you drifted away from it all decades ago, and you thought, at the time, the yanks buying the club was a great move.

Not sure it’s particularly about glory respect or achievements. More ambition and a clear path to what they want to do, which seems lacking

I don't understand why we waited until the last minute? Is it just to save a few weeks on wages? Do we think that there are bargains to be had by going late?

I've got to give credit where it's due.

He was really put on the spot, in answering for the club and not just as a coach.

Thought he handled it very well.

The buck stops with the owners, they make the final decisions.

Even when you know, you never know?

It is in its own way , regardless of the few happy clappers we have bestowing the virtues of the owners , the overall view for many is that the Club is in decline , I'm not bothered about the PL as an entity , when you consider the amount of money being spent on one player which would keep alive a Club in the lower leagues for a few years .for me the sooner the bubble bursts the better but there's no sign of that happening .

The Championship must be the hardest division to be in with regards to success.
There are only 3 spots for promotion and each year the division has several clubs in it living off of parachute payments and what players they can hang on to after the drop.
The clubs are not strong enough to likely win one if the 2 cups they are in.
Players wages and prices take up a very considerable amount of annual income.
When in the Prem, staying there is a success.
In the lower divisions promotions, for a club our size, is achievable.
The way out if it is to build a strong team over a number of years, strengthen with well selected loans.
With high turnover of the top performers and little investment in lower cost youngsters then mid-table mediocrity is here to stay

The owners are 100% to blame for the situation we find ourselves in.
Run us on an even keel by all means, but bring in the players we need.
Or at worst be honest and tell us how it is going to be.

Empty promises then blame Winter and Martin

We didn't according to the interview put in a couple of bids early but players didn't fancy it.
Ended up going elsewhere for less money.

One wanted to commute from home for training every day, so Swansea was out of the question and he moved to a club closer to home. Not really an issue in my mind.

RM said the boy in question moved, I don't know who he was, Exeter would be a bugger to commute from unless it was Bristol. Even then he would be continually late with the M5 traffic.

The amount of very nice apartments the club have I’m uncertain we need a player like that.

They should get the Swansea to Minehead paddle steamer going again. Waverley.
