In bygone decades I could never have predicted or envisaged outrageous conspiracy theories and other make believe cr@p ever being accepted like they all are today. Flat earthers, 9-11 conspiracy cr@p and belief that there are over one hundred genders etc, David Icke is imo a magnificent example of how times have changed? He is now applauded by sellout audiences, years back he was viewed as being an absolute joke who was just a single phone call away from being sectioned..... nowadays many seem to view him (read his Amazon book reviews) as some kind of visionary genius of remarkable wisdom. Welcome to the year 2023, a real-life Monty Python sketch. Yep! common sense and rational thinking is definitely in decline.

Never understood those who went out for a night out with the lads and then played darts and pool all night, these were the olden days social media problem.

Phones are the biggest killer, the definition of a phone is a point of contact, but todays phones can do almost anything, people can't live without the fing things and sadly I'm no fing different

Weird conspiracy theories have always been around. There were people in the 60’s who believed Paul McCartney was dead because if you play the records backwards it comes out with secret messages saying so.

You can still talk while you play pool or darts mind. There's no rule saying you can't! I used to love a game of snooker. I heard many a tall story from the old timers down the social club while giving them a good hiding. Socialising is supposed to be fun. To be fair meeting up with Fireboy and a few others at Huddersfield and QPR was fun and because I no longer drink very much, I can even remember it all
| Before social media on 21:10 - Mar 31 with 1509 views | Flashberryjack | I remember the days when we had local newspapers, and ITV Wales news actually told you the news, watch it now and it's all about some overweight woman with seven kids saying she has to go 3 days without changing her knickers, so she can feed hers kids. I get more news on here from the likes of Kilk and Controversial. | |

If you read the WOL they often have "news stories" promoting people selling porn on the "Only Fans" site. That or the "advertorials" It's a shocking media outlet.

Somebody on SCFC2 compared this site to WOL, I’m unsure if it’s a good thing or bad 😂 I don’t know their name tho, not many say who they are online.

| Before social media on 01:14 - Apr 1 with 1379 views | Robbie | Me and my mates back in the day had Youth Clubs , open park areas to kick a ball about and importantly , even to this day 50 years later , true trust and friendship in our growing up as kids , respect for our neighbours was drilled into our upbringing . Not mobiles of course , go round to his and knock on his door , you out mush . Sadly social media pressure has pushed some youngsters over the edge resulting in themselves doing acts , a terrible reaction to some online nonsense . Sometimes think are these outlets making childrens mental health worse . | | | |
| Before social media on 04:07 - Apr 1 with 1349 views | Kilkennyjack | The BBC and the MSM told us what to think, it was far easier that way. Post war we were repeatedly told the Britain had ……. the best royal family in the world, the best football league in the world, best police forces in the world, best armed forces in the world, best democracy in the world, best public broadcaster in the world, best universities in the world, best inventors in the world, best language in the world, and other nations should be laughed at for being a bit different. History started around 1914. And then, guess what … social media started to suggest that much of the above was not in fact true. And many middle aged people hated being told the truth. The old lies were so comfortable. Brexit will sort it though …. 🤣🇬🇧 | |

Then when you left school Martha's the pit or Neptunes./cindarellas and any service station you could tag onto the rave convoy. Pheonix festival Glastonbury and Reading (no tickets needed) a fortnight in Tenerife or a weekend in the Dam. Wonderful times never to be seen again. [Post edited 1 Apr 2023 5:20]

Did not take long for you to go off topic. Remember how the people were brainwashed that we were only joining a trading block and not surrendering our sovereignty to become part of an undemocratic federal sueded empire.

| Before social media on 10:42 - Apr 1 with 1235 views | Togg | I remember Mark Ring saying on the Radio that he couldn't understand the kids showing telling people where they are. He said when I used to go out I didnt want anybody to know where I was. I would imagine it was the same for most of us 🤣 in the 70's 80's and 90's. I went on a digital seminar it must have been two decades ago or so and this magazine journalist telling us that in the near future people will be able to show each other where they are. Meaning camera phones. | | | |
