5 30pm kick off could have the potential to be 2nd best to a Friday night for an alcohol induced atmosphere. |
Some people clearly prioritise other things, as I’ve said before the big supoort we got together over many years in south west of England I would imagine if 20% still go I would be surprised.
However, the clubs attendances have been healthy since Matos arrived so a good few thousand are coming back. Imagine if we could win games far easier ? It’s a lot more entertaining now though.

We're not too far away from that. There are very few Premier League games played at 3pm on a Saturday now for that very point. There is little point in a blackout if there aren't any games to show anyway!

I don't mind the tea time KO I not interested in the Manchester derby but it means we can see the scores before our game. I would take a draw to give the players some confidence before the six pointer with Blackburn. Unfortunately I can see the attendance affected by fans watching it on TV. Let hope we can create the chances again and put them away clinically meaning as we attack we can get players into good attacking position while keeping things tight defensively and not leave ourselves open to counter attacks as we committed too many players forward without cover. Just a thought but there are many rugby clubs in the surrounding area who will finish their home matches by 4.00. this Saturday .
Lots of those clubs will be in a radius of Swansea that is accessible for a 5.30 ko. and there is potentially a lot of supporters who may be unaware of the late K.O for the Swans on Sat.

The Swans hardcore fanbase who go to games has increased dramatically over the years. When hooe was almost lost with Sheehan the club were getting 14k plus. its now 3k higher. Saturday will give some insight I’m certain. | |

I haven't paid much attention to attendance figures for us this year but to anyone who goes to games it's obvious that we're on the up.
Some of the published figures don't tell the whole story, there are season ticket holders who weren't going to games that are returning. That doesn't affect announced attendances but there are less empty seats & a better atmosphere. |  | | |
