We have problems at both ends, Key and then Burgess were hopeless for the first goal. Burgess had to stand up and shepherd the ball towards the goal line, Key failed to get tight to the man closet to goal and wandered out to the wing where Ronald should have been heading.

Three at the back would have been the best way to have accommodate him with the other two. I would like to see Casey back here if possible.
As for Key not getting goal side of the goal scorer he expected that inside channel runner to be picked up by the midfield, Wrexham created the same problem on the other side for Tymon he was held in to the middle which gave the winger space either the centrehalf comes across if possible or the midfield/ winger drops to pick up the spare man, Wrexham used the runners from deep just as we did in the first 20 mins they need to be picked up they created space for the winger or as the case on the right in the box for the goal scores in either case not picked up because inexperienced players against a team with a higher level of experience on the pitch and off.

Regardless of how good or bad both Cam and Ben are we know that we really desperately need another quality centre back.
Whatever the qualities of the two we've got you simply can't go into any Champ season with just two centre backs because if either is having a bad spell who do you replace them with ? Ward ? Or Fulton ? An under 21 ? | | | |

Keith- unfortunately that is the nail which you have hit on the head. And in all reality, both full backs despite their attributes going forward cannot defend either. For me given our league position, I would experiment now with both Cab and Burgess. Individually both a poor and have the same weakness, slow and get done, 1 v 1. Play one without the other and see if that new pairing have better cohesion and make less errors. | | | |

Agreed, we seem to think choosing these two as a pairing is the answer when it isn’t this season. Problem ine was the loan of Casey from West Ham. He came in, looked decent but never had a game when Ben or Cameron were fit. I’m not against playing them, we have no choice in fact, but they know they are guaranteed to play, no pressure, nobody in the background. Easy times.
We need to bring in a centre back who isn’t a crock like Santos, what a waste of money he was or be brave and bring in an under 21. | |

Burgess for a big man is very weak and not skilful enough to play pretty
Cabango a good club man but again limited in the extreme
Our full backs are both appalling defenders
This year Galbraith has been covering for the incompetency of several players and is an astounding talent
VIP , bless him, without his goals we’d be screwed as we would if Vigaroux got injured and we had Fisher play an extended run of games
