Yep we managed to get rid of the disruptive players that were said to be exactly that, you'll never have a completely happy ship with a biggish group of individuals and their ego's, but the more you can sort of moderate that the better. |  | | |

Shame on the Almeida front, but if this deal falls through with the way we seem to be doing our business this summer we'll just move onto the next target and if we want a player of his type, it'll just be a case of who's next down the list.

Both Vitor and Ben made much of having the right player fit in terms of skils and attitude during questioning at last night's forum....it doesn't seem Almeida is demonstrating the "off field" fit we are looking for based on what was said last night so let it go | |

How would you react if your employer suddenly told you that they'd transferred you to a different company in another country and that you'd basically be a pariah if you didn't uproot yourself and your whole family and go somewhere that you didn't ask for?
I don't blame him at all, and we should have pulled out of the deal as soon as Valencia's machinations became apparent.

Fair points. I suppose is it more a reflection on us then. As soon as it's clear he was on the fence then surely irrelevant if we wanted him we should of backed off. I have hired staff who have all the skills I need but end up being a disaster. While other times a raw talent with enthusiasm was far better. It's all a gamble. [Post edited 6 Aug 11:11]

Does us two favours gets us a sum of money and off our books. Was sad to see him go but..... was it well played in the transfer market.
