As regards new blood, the only “ good” thing about Bugess injury is we should focus on replacement on this key position seeing , as I read, he’s out for the season

I do however think we “ look” fragile or because so many crosses come in
Brum had not a shot on target all half until they scored
They have big ideas and plan to build a 62000 capacity ground but to me they look average albeit well drilled and very physical
They got away with much and They were cute

I think some expect to much from Burgess [not you GV] yes he's got a mistake in him so did Darling, Cabango and even the top centre backs have mistakes in them, it's that sort of position.
Burgess is a straight up and at them Centre Half old fashion type, he doesn't do the spectacular apart from the odd screamer that flies into the top corner or a header.
He's not a Harry Darling type who is comfortable coming out with the ball and carrying it into the opo's half. |  | | |

I did partially rupture mine playing squash and suffered for years afterwards as the blood doesn’t easily flow through that region hence it’s hard for the body to repair

I can't imagine them not having insurance for player injuries. I was told £25K a week wages, our highest paid player. Not sure what figure is correct, but they are ball park, so near enough. When it's a defender who makes a mistake it's highlighted 10 fold, 100 fold if that mistakes leads to a goal.
However when an attacking player misses the target, trips over the ball, goes down too easy, fails to see the obvious through ball, misfits/overhits a cross, $hits out at taking a shot when it's on, lamely hits a ball straight at the keeper then it's deemed more acceptable. | | | |
