There will always be a small minority who will be prejudiced.
In Gareth Thomas’ case, I think if he was straight and just as much of an attention whore he’d probably have more people disliking him, because no one would be afraid to criticise a straight man and he’d still be just as much of a twà t.
Taking this story in isolation though, I don’t see a lot wrong with it. However much people dislike his self promotion and profiteering, you can’t deny he has overcome a lot of adversity and achieved a lot as a sportsman. I can see how plenty of people would view him as an inspiration. | | | |
