LATEST STUFF
Swansea City are set to play hosts to Bournemouth at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday in their next EFL Championship game. Swansea City come into this game following a 2-0 win over 10-man Luton Town on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium. An early first-half goal from Welsh right-back Connor Roberts and a late second-half goal from Ghana international Andre Ayew secured the win for the Swans against Luton Town, who had defender Matt Pearson sent off in the second half.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, beat Barnsley 4-0 on Friday at Oakwell.
Goals from Denmark international Philip Billing, striker Dominic Solanke, Spanish left-back Diego Rico and young forward Sam Surridge ensured a comfortable victory for Bournemouth.

The two clubs last faced each other in 2018 in the English Premier League, with Bournemouth beating Swansea City 1-0. A first-half goal from winger Ryan Fraser, now at Newcastle United, secured the win for Bournemouth.

THEY PLAYED FOR BOTH CLUBS
Yes, they probably did.

WHAT IS A BOURNEMOUTH ?
Its an odd stat but the club that is Bournemouth is called the cherries, and everyone from Bournemouth still hasn't actually had some cherries and lost them. It may well be that this could happen in the future, but as it hasn't happened yet its a real Bournemouth fact. Bournemouth has a pier, it was set on fire by the IRA by all accounts and in the summer of 2020 twenty eight thousand morons or indeed non morons all sat on the beach together and passed on a variety of illnesses including the ficticous Covid-19 which isn't real unless you die from it. Then it all of a sudden becomes very real.

SO, WHAT ELSE DO WE KNOW ?
Between August 1963 and October 1964 the Beatles played more live gigs in Bournemouth than anywhere else in the UK, outside of London. This may well have had a detrimental effect on the local populous. John Lennon bought a house for his Aunt Mimi in neighbouring Sandbanks and spent a lot of his time with her there. The identity of Jack the Ripper is still unknown to this day. One of the men who the police suspected at the time was Montague Druitt. He was a barrister whose body was found in the River Thames shortly after the last murder. Could the killings have stopped because the killer himself was dead ? Druitt used to play cricket for the gentlemen of Bournemouth. Cricket is a game where a ball is hit with a bat, much the same as a head is hit with a bat in Whitechapel or in any other situation where a head is hit with a bat.

This is the Beatles yesterday at the old Boscombe charity clothes shop, less than 50p section.

This is Steve Cooper, lovely chap.

COOPER TALKS
It makes for a mouthwatering prospect, and a game the Swans are very much looking forward to. "They've scored a lot of goals recently. For me, they're the strongest squad - in terms of talent and depth - in the league," said head coach Cooper. "I'm not surprised at how well they're doing with the amount of good players they have at their availability. They can make loads of changes and they don't lose any strength in the team.

"But we're at home and we want to win.

"We just know that when we come up against them on Tuesday and when we play them again later in the season, it's going to be as tough a game as any. "But at the end of the day, we need to get excited about these games."

For those that don’t know this is what is referred to as a fixture

Our turn to get the upper hand if we play to our potential.

Massive week for Cabango to quell Bournemouth's potency and the big challenge of Moore. Cabango was our weakest link on Saturday, his lack of command and control meant Grimes et al had to drop and we were on the back foot.

Would like to see Grimes raise his game a notch to drive us forward. He has so much latent talent that needs to be unleashed. When unleashed Grimes is unrivalled in this league ahead of Bannan and Howson.

Could be a cracker.

Cabango was excellent again on Saturday with most national papers commenting on the huge workload he got through.
I'll back Ben to keep Moore quiet as long as other defenders stick to their jobs, i.e. do an Ash; get under Moore, get in his way, stick with him and expect others to do their jobs.

From the games I have watched not involving us, and there hasn't been loads to be honest, Bournemouth are far and away the best side I have witnessed this season so far.

I would be resting Ayew tonight and playing Vik and Cullen up top. Being at home, on this surface, may actually suit us tonight. Would snap someones hand off if they offered us a point now.

We are a very inexperienced 3 at the back. Looks suicidal against their attack.

Latibeaudiere
Naughton
Cabango

I guess we'll really be an 7 at the back though with Matty, Smith and the wing backs.

They are coming at us in a 3-4-3

It will defence vs attack. Let's hope we don't concede early.

Smith will be all important tonight to any sort of possession we can hope to have. If he's hiding behind their midfield AGAIN our inexperienced back 3 will be lumping it to no one and it will keep coming back.

We could hardly afford to lose two top players at this point of the season.
It is going to be a tough period to get through.
They will probably play hoof ball into our penalty area for most of the game to exploit our lack of height.

That’s a very pieced together defence, we need to control the ball and limit their chances. If ever I wanted a boring sideways and backwards game, this would happily be it. May need to strangle them with possession to get a result here.

Pitch is worst in the league.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Hope we can break away from the early pattern that is emerging. They are showing excellent ball retention, while we are struggling to string three passes together.
