The Senedd does "consultations" to try and look interested in our opinion then does what it wants.
I've said it before too. They consulted on several things and then did what they wanted and called it democratic.
The Welsh language policy, the votes for under 18's, what else was there. No voting system should be changed without the mandate of the electorate. A consultation is not a mandate. But the Senedd knows that some things it wants would never pass a vote so they ignore the people and just do it. Increasing the number of MS's in the bay will be next.
On the OP, yes, a waste of money. Even young people know what's going on and school age kids should be told by their parents, to make sure they know. I had words with my son when schools closed early. He didn't see why he couldn't meet his mates in the park but I pointed out to him why not, in quite strong language too. | |

It's like unemployment;the same in any language.
I will go to my grave saying Welsh,like it or not ,is the single most dividing factor in Wales.Privately many detest it or at least having their kids be forced to learn it.
Welsh is a hard language to learn . I am still reasonably fluent in French and can get by in Italian ,Spanish and Portuguese as I did Latin in school and as a result ,especially in Italian,many words are easy to understand . Ive tried learning Welsh as my father and his lot were Welsh speakers but gave up ,basically. I found Cyrillic alphabet easier.
Not much welsh singing these days in the Rugby internationals nor even much of what we use to sing ,any way;odd that. | |
