"Connor Roberts, honestly I have never seen anyone run like it in all my life. He is the fittest man I have ever met. There was no holding him back." You have to make some allownaces for hype and adeneline talking but this is a 23-24 year old championship player amongst superstars. Cooper has said the same thing.

I think Connor is a superman and out of everyone deserves the real big time but at the same time want him to be a Swansea player for evermore.
He deserves to play at an higher level, undoubtedly, but 5mill is far to low, I know Keith just suggested that figure, but he Connor and SCFC deserve a better fee than that, double it then go from there, hope we can hang on to him though and hopefully he can be part of another promotion push, but some good sides have come down, plus there are some quality teams in the Championship, could be even harder this season to mount a challenge.

We always undervalue, apart from Siggy that is. Connor at the right club is worth at least 15m. Look around at see how he compares.
He's just about good enough as a RB at this level. In the Prem he'd probably struggle. As a RWB he's definitely worth a punt for someone in the £10-15m range. Personally I'd like to see him pushed further forward than that.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Depends what another club wants.

He's definitely not fazed by being in on goal, some could say in thrives in that position.
5 million sounds about right to me, not that it's a fair price but taking into account we're in the Championship and defenders hardly ever draw as big a fee as attacking players, oh, and we're Swansea City of course, 5 million is probably about what we'll be offered. We might be able to get a sell on clause and, just as with Dan James, as soon as Connor moved to the EPL his price would rise significantly.

His strength is joining in unmarked from deep, he hasn't got the skills to beat his man 1v1 or navigate tighter areas as proper forward players require. Wingback is ideal for him, which will limit the sort of fee that might be offered for an almost 26 year old finished article. There's not much potential there to inflate the fee up to the McBurnie, DJ, Rodon range.
Will be the same with Grimes.

Some forget Roberts is nearly 26 and think he is much younger. Same with Grimes you are not buying potential and "one for the future".

It's just the way it is.
Don't agree Cat. Grimes not an international and never will be. Connor a proven one.

If Grimes was Welsh he'd be a regular. Played more age group football for England than Connor did for Wales funnily enough, captained their u20s and got a handful of u21s games.
Clubs don't care if players are internationals. Morrell's being turfed out of Luton this summer, they've already brought in two new midfielders who are nowhere near their national sides.

This is exactly it. He’s phenomenal in a position not many clubs utilise. Very, very few players can charge up and down the touchline all game and still have a sprint in them in the 90th minute. As a RB or further forward, I can’t see many PL teams wanting him.
If he does go, we’d have to hope a couple of clubs who do want to play that way come in. Not impossible, as there aren’t many better wingbacks about. If not, we could end up losing him for less than we think he’s worth a la Rodon. If there’s one buyer, it’s their market.

I rate him, he’s and a decent time of it, especially v Turkey. Not sure how long he has left on his contract but he only signed for Luton in October.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
He is like a spring chicken after a very long ardouous season. He is teetotal. He is super fit (exceptionally says Page and Cooper) He is never injured He is very brave. Goal v Notts Forest. He has good character. He can tackle, run score head the ball He is quitte quick.

Big downside is the ability to mark at set plays and often gets caught out with crosses into the box.
