| Wolf 22:45 - Apr 23 with 2324 views | builthjack | In my humble opinion he is the weakest link in the team. He just can't get past a man, and falls over every time. Links up well, but then fails to deliver. | |

He’s not going to get any change out of a bigger opposing full back and he has no pace to get around them. That aside I thought he’s been excellent these last few weeks. A change of tack was needed yesterday , maybe to move him into a more central ten role because he’s undoubtedly got the tools to unlock defences. So gutted he hit the bar yesterday - if he’d have scored this thread would not have materialised. I for one would be delighted to have him here next season.

Exactly. Had he scored yesterday he'd have been lauded. Been doing well recently.

I'm amazed we have not got better players in our academy. Yesterday one great effort on goal, otherwise a complete waste of a shirt.

Indeed. There are countless players in this country who could do better and on a fraction of his wages too. It is a shocking waste of a loan That this is excused makes me sad really. He is "supported" as its the thing to do for some. We should be thinking about the Team and the Club and what is best for us to progress. Just who decided to bring him to us.? I feel for young Joseph who 's had no chance, just like Whittaker really. Has Joseph an attitude problem too.

The players you mentioned are different type of players. Joseph is competing with Piroe and Obafemi so always going to struggle for game time. Whittaker isn't the answer sorry

Im not suggesting Whittaker I but I stand by what I say. We have made bad choices. I hate to say this but watching the camel and his Brentford team, they seem to have done the opposite.

Brentford have been a work in progress, like us when we built up to and got into the EPL. Took them a few years, and a couple of different managers, together with selling players to finally get where they are. Done better than expected this season but may struggle next season. This summer is crucial for us and the off the field trouble won't help. Wolf will be a good player for us or elsewhere.

| Wolf on 09:47 - Apr 24 with 1433 views | Lorax | I would have lauded his goal and yes he is a technically good player but he is physically weak. I don't think he just falls over, I think he tries very hard to match players when he tries to go past them but he just gets muscled out. With that in mind I don't think he's what we need and we shouldn't bring him back next season. Besides, what is the point of loaning an attacking midfielder and playing him at wing back? Where is Ogbeta, where are our young players? Shouldn't we now be giving them their chances so we can see what we've got and what we need for next season? | | | |

He’s displayed more heart, passion and commitment in a Swansea shirt in 6 months than grimes our supposed captain has shown in 3 years.

| Wolf on 10:15 - Apr 24 with 1392 views | Brynmill_Jack | Weakest link in the team? I’m sorry but you’re way wide of the mark there. Even playing LWB he’s shone, scored a couple of excellent goals and has been unfortunate not to have scored more. Assists, tackles all from a player feeling his way back from a serious injury. You could hand that accolade easily to Paterson, Grimes, Smith or even Ntcham. I respectfully disagree Builthy. | |

Ogbeta's lack of involvement a strange one given what we spent. One for the Mark Allen record book? Ollie Cooper is at Newport and is a very similar type of player to Wolf. Has been injured but got 15 minutes off the bench yesterday. Lincoln McFayden has had a good season with the u23s at left wing back, signed a two year contract in January but not involved with the first team since August. Congreve and Ben Lloyd are the big hopes in the academy at attacking midfield, but are very young (recently turned 18 and 17 respectively). If it's all about the process, all about next season, then you're absolutely right; chances should be given to see what our young players have got, and to provide competitive learning experiences from which they can improve. If that's not happening then usually it means a manager is prioritising the result on the day, or is angling for more money to spend by demonstrating how hard up he is for numbers.

Laughable coming from you. Self unaware. The entire section around me was groaning at grimes yesterday. He will not take any sort of leadership responsibility. He’s the most overrated player I’ve seen play for Swansea alongside Richie Appleby.

Grimes is the least effective captain we have ever had and as for overated,he is in the Mark Gower and De Guzman class but not quite there. Grimes dead balls and "shooting" are as embarrassing as it gets .

His shot was perfect, I think it took a tiny deflection which changed the flight enough to hit the underside of the bar. He is a great player and has always shown glimpses of his quality and this improves as his fitness has.
