Swansea have made it clear the valuations they place on both players, and even at much lower values twenty million pounds could be banked come the end of this transfer window. 1 To strip or not to strip, that is the question.

I don't think they are 'clowns' and I don't think there is 'financial mismanagement'. I think they are cynical businessmen, with no real interest in football but only interested in making good returns for their investors.

In the worst case scenario it could be amongst the most damaging. If it goes well, then we could sell 1 player and use the money to strengthen a number of places and bring in some good investments

Nobody can ever put a figure on that claim. Some claim that "millions" have been taken but with absolutely no proof. For me, their only chance of a real profit is to get us promoted, keep us there at least 3 years and then sell us. I'm more concerned by some really poor transfer decisions than by the Yanks allegedly gutting us for profit. We cannot sell both Piroe and Obafemi this window, that'd be crazy. Who thought Sorinola was any good? Wood? Fisher? On top of that, what's going on with Pato? Is he really injured?

If they are making good returns for their investors then the Trust will also be cashing in too. They have not received a bean. Are you suggesting the Trust are being duped and the US owners are being paid from profit and the 21% owner is not being paid their fair share.? Consultancy costs in in the accounts go on consultancy fees for work. The only other income is interest on loans. Reported at around 5%. The Trust could share in this if they applied to join the CLN loan but they have not applied. Why not? No one discusses important things. They are about good governance and protocols. Wrapped up in red tape and inertia. The way i see it is the US owners having already put in £13m do not want to put any more support cash into the club. If they do this repeatedly, before you know it they are like Middlesbrough and Stoke. Derby even worse. Their owners have put in £100m+ and £180m into their clubs who are no better off than Swansea and worth only £50m on the open market. It is a financial black hole vortex if the club is not run in a disciplined and shrewd manner. Huw Jenkins and Morgan ran it like this for 14 years but needed to step aside. They were spinning plates. A bad injury here and few duff signings and Swansea were done for. They stayed invested for any upside. The fans narrative is fake. Jenkins did an outstanding job. All the investors except the Trust made a huge financial gain. The shares were their own cash so it was cashed. The Trust is not for profit and the cash belongs to no individual. It is for the common good (pseudo communist). The board were not concerned about profits. That is why they did not make any. The have no plan for 18% inflation at all. The model is suited to small teams like Exeter and Wrexham before they gave their club way to Hollywood. At exeter subsciption fees go directly to the club run by a board. I researched it a little a while back. Then 3000 member paid £25 and £75,000 went directly to run the club.

As they were when Ayew and Lowe were replaced by Obafemi and Piroe? I listened to the commentary of the Middlesborough game last and I think it was Andy Robinson who said teams have worked out Piroe! Now could be the last chance we have to get a decent price.
