Keith We are going nowhere with him We really do not have to put up with this dross It’s not getting any better That winning run of narrow wins was a blip. I am very concerned as this fella seems omnipresent

That winning run of narrow wins was a blip. The last 10 games we have won 6 drawn 2 lost 2. Granted we have not always played well but that is promotion form.

Seeing you apparently watched the rugby and not the game, your comments are debatable, if not expected.

There was a big concern from some at the beginning of the season that he only won 1 in how many........he turns it around and gets what was it, 7 wins in 9 and yet the knives are still out for him. The issue isn't Martin here, the issue is some are bitter towards others for wanting Cooper gone. One thing I will say, I can certainly see a foundation being built here as under Cooper I was concerned that we were just after quick success with little and infact no foundation. The club is being built up well presently, when Martin goes I think we will see in time the work he has done here and any new manager will be feeling privelaged walking into the work that is being done here.

Nothing to do with Cooper for me. He’s gone and I was in favour of that at the time. You are probably right though. There is a foundation being laid here by Martin but I genuinely feel this is all we’ll get from him. We need a serious tactician now who will use the players comfort on the ball to play a style with movement and pace - both sadly lacking in our current approach to games. Then we may see some success but not as it is now, he has to go in my opinion.

The issue is, we’re not going to get a serious tactician. We can’t afford one unless we pick up an unproven rough diamond. If Martin goes (and I can’t see him being anywhere near sacked or poached at the moment) we’ll either end up with a bargain basement Sean Dyche or we’ll gamble on a young manager with his own ideas like we have with our three appointments since relegation.

Well the unproven young manager has worked before for us. Anyone involved in the game professionally who go on to become managers should have some idea of tactics even if they learn by watching Sky Sports on a Sunday afternoon. We just don’t seem to employ any training ground drills whatsoever. You’re right though, Martin’s going nowhere at present. All we can hope is the players benefit by playing close control football under pressure so that when we do get a tactician in they will be able to play that game with movement.

No chance, I wouldn't be sad to see him leave though, I thought he had turned the corner, but he's reverted back to type, extraordinary after the success it brought us, I'm amazed that he can't see it himself.

You don’t need to be a master tactician to beat us though. That is the point. We play one way. We are entrusting Martin with our club s future here . He has done nothing to deserve that

You are correct, it should have nothing to do with Cooper but he lives in some posters on here and they can't draw a line through it in regards to others who wanted him gone. The moment the parachute payments went was the moment we became a club who could easily be pulled into a relegation battle.......we appointed good managers in Potter and Cooper, Potter was similiar to Martin that he wanted to build it up and Cooper was all about the here and now. Martin can certainly go and do things in the game, I think he needs to change formation to push on but I am very at ease where we are as a club and with the job he is doing........the importance of having a solid foundation for a club like us is essential.

And I totally agree with them, the whole game plan was flawed and made worse by players who know nothing more than to take the safest pass when a decent chance to attack is available. It’s been drilled in to them and they know if they do that there won’t be criticism from Martin.
