Merci beaucoup France, you've done the world a favour.

Why does it matter Our national team is bereft of any quality. Bale is done as is Ramsey James has come to a halt and we have Mepham as centre half and Joe R who has become lost . Look at our goalkeepers and then our strikers. Not really edifying is it I truly do not a monkeys give about Harry Kane, Lord Beckham, or the rest . I’m only interested in the Swans where we have a clown for a coach and a national team with Robert Page to oversee things . We are on no position to gloat

Yes smack on Keith. I seen a list of England knock out wins in the World Cup since 1966 and it was nearly entirely if not entirely smaller teams in football terms, Paraguay, Cameroon etc. They are also every bit as poor in the Euros, when looking at Euro and World cup final appearances etc as a measure, England are bottom of the league of the big countries, they are very much second tier, alongside Portugal, Belgium, Croatia, Czechoslovakia as was etc. Way behind France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay for achievements. The game developed in England, game went professional in England, England is the only country with 4 professional leagues (is it 5 these days). Lots of the money is in England yet I'm being honest here considering everything population size, facilities, long history, money England are big time underachievers, in fact pound for pound putting things in context England are diabolical. | England fail yet again on 11:41 - Dec 11 with 2031 views | trampie | In the next Euros England should literally have a favourites chance but because they lose literally every time they run into a half decent team (and it's been like that for decades and decades) it would be hard to have confidence in them even though Germany and Spain are poor compared to teams they have had in the past, Portugal and Belgium golden generation come to an end etc etc.

I find these post’s disrespectful to the African nations. Are the champions of Africa not a decent team?

Trampie is racist, he, she or they continue to demonstrate time and time again, I’m not talking about just hatred to the English either. Why this person supports a diverse club like Swansea is beyond me.

In all honesty we (Wales) didn’t deserve to be on the same pitch as them. Embarrassing Schadenfreude from bitter welsh nationalists whose main focus of the entire World Cup campaign was to promote a Daffydd Iwan nationalist folk song ! If the focus had been on the football Wales might have performed better. Hijacking the campaign shows just how desperate the minority are (including BBC Wales media) to push the narrative that nobody wants. Those fans weren’t out there to sing Yma O Hyd they were there to see Wales progress into the knockout stages. Funny as it seems not to be newsworthy anymore- maybe because we aren’t still there.

Well i hoped they might be, but they were no match for England. And England hardly won a game at top tier nations league. You can draw your own conclusions.

There's definitely an undercurrent of politics in Welsh football. Just hope it doesn't become divicive. [Post edited 11 Dec 2022 13:57]

It's Wales. And it always will be. Does it make you feel better that Cymru, not Wales got humiliated on the World stage then? Is calling the team Cymru more important than the team not winning a single game at the World Cup finals? Where's your national pride now???
