According to a story by Dave Mac.

Not really a surprise but gutting nevertheless

We're talking about a training ground here chaps, i'm sure it'll sort its self out.
I mean how much does it need to do a bit of jogging on the spot and running round
some cones.

but no, seriously, these modern day footballers need much more than that, lovely
little massages, state of the art gym, swimming pool the lot.....oh, and the weekly
colonic irrigation.

still if nothings sorted after the lock down, we can go back to basic training...…
the springbok and William hill, like bowlsey used to.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.

I was trying to demonstrate we have similar ideals in some respects so as not to sound argumentative...

That’s great. A lot of people think democracy is an integral part of Left ideology so I’m surprised you disagree with the idea.

It's entirely accurate and fair.

In November 2018 the Supreme Court appeal was rejected meaning that all legal avenues had been exhausted. Lee Hoos himself announced that construction would begin. The judicial review you speak of was only granted in April 2020 because QPR's failure to act in over 1 year allowed Warren Farm to transform itself into a nature reserve.

Refer here for timelines:
https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-qpr-fc-training-ground-warren-farm-

Hoos better have a plan B up his sleeve. If that doesn't come off, he should walk.

By all means be angry about yet another disappointment for the club and more broken promises — goodness knows, I am — but please don’t misrepresent the facts.

You wrote: "The judicial review you speak of was only granted in April 2020 because QPR's failure to act in over 1 year allowed Warren Farm to transform itself into a nature reserve".

You are implying that QPR's inaction and Mother Nature in some way gave rise to the judicial review, whereas in reality, the protesters created a successful campaign based on the council's failure to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment.

Looked at another way, you could sum up the situation by saying that failure to act on the part of the council, not QPR, is behind this.

The net effect is still yet another set-back for us as a club, though, and Hoos and the board are under pressure to quickly turn this crushing blow into something which, finally, moves the club's infrastructure forward.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

If that's how it's shaken down then heads would need to roll.

I think people are somewhat blinded by the success of Eze and Bright when it comes to critiquing Hoos. That's all Ramsey's work

Imagine what Barcelona and Real Madrid would have won if they weren’t held back by Supporter integration.

The alternative is we all just whine and bitch and call each cnts on Social Media all day and make fck all difference to the issue we want changed.

Your post is also a good argument against Parliament and democracy. Maybe we should fck that off too.

Depressing.

Democracy is bollocks. The best mode of running both football clubs and a country is a benevolent, wise ruler over all.
Unpalatable, but true.
Tht's why this forum works so well. Clive is our benevolent dictator.

Bare bones.

Hoos hasn't been here for 8 years. His tenure has seen a huge improvement, still not great but he's been fighting with both hands tied behind his back. I don't like the owners but I do appreciate the good work he has done

I stand corrected of course - he's been in post since 2015 - but (a) is part of the club's management team and (b) has gone on record as saying that, if he does nothing else, the new training ground and stadium are imperative for him. He obfuscates, propagandises, deals (in my view) in skewed ways with the politics and economics of staying at/leaving Loftus Road, and has failed to deliver. Also, there isn't a clear dichotomy between him, Les, Warbs and the owners - they're all on the same sheet in the end - and his hands aren't necessarily any more tied than anyone else's in terms of setting the club's economic agenda and business strategy. In fact, he seems to be astonishingly hands-on across the board, and has also been involved in, judging by his statements, the pre-Warbs charade of hiring, lionsing and sacking managers. For some fans, however, it seems any amount of his inefficiency and untrustworthiness is tolerable.

At the same time, the recent news, if accurate, is a fiasco that taints everyone involved in it and, as usual, it's the fans who are left feeling like mugs.

I'd be completely in favour of clubs being owned by the fans, but not so sure about having one solitary fan on the board.

I think it would be easy to decide who that supporter is - members vote in elections.
I think that, yes, there would be abuse from some fans as there has been in the past when supporters worked for the club - but if someone wants to run for the position, that's their decision.

My worry is neither of the above - it's that the ownership on the board would make all decisions behind the back of the supporter on the board and that board votes would be a panto and a fait accompli.

Supporters are not stupid and supporters are not powereless - supporters have fought off FPR, Winkleman, Thompson and administration by being united, intelligent and articulate. But one supporter alone would be powerless.

I'd expect you'd be right about them not being able to steer the direction of the club but, being in board meetings so they know the truth and having the access to raise issues would be valuable.

In the current situation if there was a fan on the board he could come out and categorically state that we are in discussions for a freehold and say it's much better than WF. Or he could come out and say that they're lying and they're not talking to anyone about a freehold and it's all BS.

So they wouldn't be able to make decisions but it should keep the owners honest.

Sorry Bri, I missed this yesterday.

You may be right.

There will be a supporter stakeholder system that works for us, but it’s going to need a consensus and a bit of Unity.

Avoidance of hurdles etc - see above

My view years ago well documented on the subject as I could see the car crash they were causing. Sorry if that doesn’t sit well with you.

I must also apologise that I’ve not included all manner of external links to the Guardian, flow charts and Venn diagrams etc which I know are soft porn to you.
Let’s see how “Plan B” pans out..... at the moment I’d say it’s B for bullshit

He is the Chief Executive!

You'd expect him to be involved in the full running of the club and have responsibility for it. But for a football matter, as opposed to a purely business or finance matter, it would be understood that he must use the specific resources that he has to reach a recommendation on key appointments to the board. The board, of course, has the final say on all matters, including his own position.
