PP, it’s nothing to do with Austin going off. We got a lot better for the next 20, and should have scored. Dykes actually did really well.
We just fell asleep for the return cross for the first. Barbet and Kane to blame. And after that we’ve gone to pieces. Barbet alone gave it away 4 times in the following 10 mins. Ball was invisible in that time too and the whole side fell apart.
I think Warbs was overly conservative in that second half too, but really, the players only have themselves to blame. That display felt a bit complacent to me. |  | | |

Very poor result
No threat up top without Austin. Dykes does ok, but seems to need to play off of someone like Austin. He's not a constant threat. Bonne did nothing.
We give the ball away far too easily every match. We give the opponent many chances to score. This is inevitable giving away possession like we do.

Yes Austin going off is not the sole reason why we lost today but your taking off a goal threat with 35 minutes plus injury time to go ? Who is seriously going to score for us when they equalised or try and grab a second

Felt in total control of that once we went one up. Not quite sure how Johansen missed that chance, can only have been the pitch as it was as straightforward as it gets. Had that gone in, it was game over.
To be fair, while you can say you should defend every cross, it was a great ball and great header for the first and a sublime finish for the second. Fair play to them.
But overall it was at best a 5/10 from us, the pitch was awful, but just before they scored we played some half decent stuff for 10 mins. Really frustrating - a game we could and should have won. |  |
