Regarding youth strikers - it's interesting that we've obviously made efforts to really prioritise this position. The cost to the club in recent years with constant loan options must have been the biggest drain in transfer resources and although the youth is developing good squad options, it takes a special talent to play upfront and be first team ready.

In the last 12months - not including more 'established projects in Bonne and Dykes - we've signed up Charlie Kelman, Sinclair Armstrong, Ody Alfa and now Alfie Lloyd. You'd hope we can turn one into a squad option in the next couple of years.

To spare future disagreements, can we have all the verified material terms of his contract posted in the LfW reference section*?

Under 'squad' at the top of the site there is a facility for player profiles, I shall spend the summer doing these and make sure we've got contract info in there.

A promising youngster coming to Rangers as there is a clear pathway if you are good enough.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

He impressed alright, not just in one match either, I would suggest he has been watched a lot of times on the football field and he also has a good attitude off the park too....good luck to the lad, and in my book he is a lad at 18 years old and not 23!!!

AY’s goals look Messiesque but have to say there were some absolute belters among them.

Yes, well done Chris Ramsey and noticeable the positive impact Eze continues to have,

I think when young players see Eze coming back to the club to support his ex-team mates + coaches, they get a really positive impression of the set-up, the people and our club.

The return we might get from a young forward who steps up and gets a hatful in the Championship is probably higher than any other position.

Plenty of frogs to be kissed though.

According to a post on Indyrs he played two games for the under 23, Southampton and another (!!) and scored against Southampton.

Meant to be highly rated by the club.

Also saw that Charlie Kendall ended up losing a tooth and had 22 stitches after an accidental clash with the goal keeper during a 1: 1 draw with Nottingham Forest. Ouch.

That's concerning to hear what happened to Charley Kendall. He seems to have been blighted with injuries which is such a shame for a very promising young player.

I think the poor kid misheard Chris Ramsey.

He didn’t say clear pathway. He said first job you can clear the pathway. Bloody mess!

I think Brentford B usually play a lot of European opposition in various shapes and sizes, which obviously hasn't been open to them this season.

I see Celtic and Glasgow Rangers have today been given provisional permission to field B teams by Lowland League ,which is Fifth tier in Scotland.

I wonder who in the Rangers 'organization' first spotted Alfie Lloyd?

Welcome aboard Alfie, ( Jesus he must be good!).

Yes Brentford usually have some juicy European B team games, (very good quality), with obviously a few good Danish fixtures included.

Yep. It’s looking decent.

Edit - It would be nice to know, but it’s good to know we are getting there.

I'm very hopeful that Armstrong is the real deal

So from now on I'll make sure in every signing piece to include the contract length and the date of the deal, and then just copy it in the player profiles which you can see under 'Squad' at the top of the site, along with a whole load of stats on their games for us.

De Wijs being the first, it'll all be filled over the summer...
