Our away form was superb at the end of last season and at the start of this season. Can’t understand how we’ve regressed so much . Throw caution to the wind for once. On Armstrong. 5 for the season now.

Portsmouth missing even more players than we are as well. Went to Charlton, had a go, who knew?
Big name players missing too. Our away form regression I believe lies with the manager. Way back at SU (who were in chronic form at the time) he saiid the point ‘kept the 9 point gap between us’. That was telling about his mind set so early in the season. Also I suspect they will overtake us in the next game or two

The Sheff U 0-0 came after we'd lost three on the bounce, broke that run with the hard won 0-0, and we then won the next two. After that 0-0, Sheff U won four on the bounce.
In that context, the "mindset" of going for a clean sheet away from home was spot on.
The idea that this squad, these players, in this form and fitness, just need to "go for it" to win more often is disproved constantly by reality. I reckon Stephan knows that better than anyone.
This is not a very good QPR team and certainly is quite a ropey one at the moment. Cifuentes knew that, Stephan knows that too now. The next bloke will find out soon enough as well.

You don’t think we could/should “go for it” against Oxford, Portsmouth, West Brom and Charlton?

Absolutely not. We can't! Which games have we "gone for it"? Wrexham away, Leicester at home? Maybe Coventry home, but we only had 39% possession at home so I think it's more they lost control than we went for it (fun though it was). Any others?
I don't think we have the personnel, even if fit - which they haven't been and weren't for any of those. The players available for Oxford, Pompey and Charlton could not have created more. We got an attritional hard fought point each time because that's the limit of those players, maybe could squeeze a 1-0 win or lose by same. Championship gruel. Take a point.
There's just not enough there. West Brom I didn't see.

At home, I thought we were going for it against Hull, Leicester, Birmingham…..then to a lesser extent against west brom, Wrexham and Coventry.

Indeed, another one for "your manager may not be the problem".
More a case of "your favourite player may not be available". Amongst others.
Looks like Rowett going to Leicester he had 1 win in 10 at Oxford but then Leceister better squad not performing…but no win in 6.. bit quite funny if both Oxford and Leicester both go down..

To be fair to us the first two Pompey goals at Charlton were fortunate. The keeper let the first one go straight through him, the sort of mistake he wouldn't do against us, and the second goal came from a dodgy penalty award which we would not have been given for a similar incident.
I see the commentators of the Qarabag v Newcastle game managed to wangle in a mention of our nightmare defeat to Blackburn at the weekend as if it had any relevance to the Champions League...

Curious to see where Cifuentes goes next.
I'd be surprised if he went back to a job on the continent. Then again, having endured QPR and Leicester...
Wonder if he fancies a bit of Sheff Wed from next season. Unless he’s next on the Watford list of doom I don’t see who he’d want to go to that would have him in our league.

I very much doubt he'd settle for a League One job.
He'll probably wait it out for the Championship merry go round to start up again in the summer.
