- Southampton haven't actually been that good.

We can talk about injuries, we can talk about that Walsh could have done better but those first 4 goals were done to errors from the 2 most senior players on the pitch. Hayden losing his man for the first Dunne has had an absolute mare there should have headed the second and miles out of position for the 3rd and 4th leaving us totally exposed |  | | |

I’ve never understood why fans clap the side after a performance like that from the players who were an embarrassment to the shirt. I was at Coventry away and couldn’t believe there were people clapping players after a performance like that. Some of those players tonight showed they’re not good enough for this level. Their body language was appalling. Jogging when tracking back. Not closing down. Gutted for our fans. No doubt we will get some more rubbish from Stéphan in his post match interview. | | | |

Granted. He’s looked knackered since his 2nd game, but injuries haven’t given many of them a chance to rest. The 3 weeks he was injured isn’t a rest, as he’s not training - but he still shows more energy than others, even if we would prefer to see it more offensively. Smyth must be carrying a knock, as he should be stepping in, and certainly before Bennie. | | | |

FT pathetic ! Saints weren’t even that good and didn’t have to be , too many players hot and cold week in week out ! Make stupid mistakes you would see from a Sunday league team , give easy goals away and when we have no creativity or attack , there’s no way back .

The gap between the haves and have nots in this division is clear to see and shown tonight. Didn't expect us to do much at Southampton, but we should expect better. Southampton are better financed and probably will be in the play offs, we just need to try and get some traction and at least turn up at home to Sheff Utd on Saturday. |  | | |

The lack of any real quality coming through from the DS is a real problem. Trouble is we have no catchment area. All the best players are taken by Chelsea, Fulham, Palace, Spurs and Arsenal. A club like Southampton have a much larger catchment area.
All we can do is pick up players like Vale, Morgan and JCS who have been released by prem clubs because they're either not physically strong enough or too injury prone. I don't see this changing. Buying players from Australia is not the answer. Pokus and Burrells and Kones are the way forward. We've just go to find a way to keep them fit though. | | | |

Not looked the same player we signed last year. Who did he partner when he played last year. Wasn't it him and Morrison in quite a few games. I don't mind Morrison although he's another one who's injury record isn't great. | | | |
