Even spookier (and I think the worst performance of all the 5-0s), on the same day, Feb 24, 2001...

Was at that Southend game, but missed last night’s disaster. Was at The Dell for the previous 5-0 though.

That shellacking at a rainy Selhurst Park by Wimbledon comes to mind as well.

We do seem to be prone to these results.

Didn't we ship 4 at Scunthorpe the year we won the league?

Was at both and the midweek 5-0 at Forest. From memory the Southend one wasn’t a fair reflection of the game we had a good chunk of with some late goals. At Forest it was such a laughable time and team it was expected (if you can’t borrow money, Borrowdale). Maybe it’s recency bias but I’d argue last night was worse than either. Ditto the 0-6 home midweek to Newcastle.

Not forgetting Wimbledon at Selhurst Park when they played Hawaii Five-O on the tannoy

I did wonder if they'd get to six, to equal the Cup drubbing against Arsenal at LR in the FA Cup (2002 was it?).

When the fifth went in with 20 mins plus added time to go I’d have been setting the handicap at over/under 7.5. Someone was probably there who stuck it out but it seemed there was ten there for them if they wanted it.

we did, went to that, did'nt expect that result at all.
went to all the other games mentioned on here as well.

but of all the games that have built us fans up and knocked us back down to earth next game, was the loss to southampton, fa cup,of all teams, after beating man utd 4 1 at old trafford.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.

"Miklosco Perry Plummer Ready Rose Darlington Kulscar Wardley Peacock Crouch Kiwomya"

Crouch aside, and Wardley for that one season, that's a f**king shit side.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

That night at Roots Hall (What a sh1t hole that ground was) was some of the worst football I have witnessed with QPR and Ive seen a few

We were driving over the Dartford bridge when the 5th went in it was a shocker - The first time I ever left a match early too

Was at Southend and Wimbledon but only sat through Tuesday on the TV. Got soaked at Southend too, if I recall correctly.

None of the goals are great really! Wasn't this an Alan Mullery special?

Also goes to show you can wear the home shirt with blue shorts and socks playing away, still doesn't make any difference to the result

How old does that look? Scary stuff.

Has got me nostalgically wondering when the club first started doing the online commentary. Season after that one maybe?

If you go back 50 years we've conceded 5 or more goals on 31 occasions.
Since we came down in 2015 we've conceded 5 or more on 9 occasstions.
We've conceded 4 goals in a game 16 times since 2015/16 as well.

To break that down a bit we've conceded 5 in a game 4 times since 15/16, We've let in 6 three times and let in 7 twice.

In those 50 years we've conceded 7 goals on 3 occassions, 2 of them have been in the last 10 years

These are some of the hidings we've had in the last 10 years, 10 at home 14 away.
The other night wasn't a one off, standards at this club are through the floor.

As the above post proves, standards walked out the Rangers door years ago.
We tend to write off these annual batterings far too quickly, never learning a bitter lesson.
This time we must dwell a bit longer on defeats of Tuesday's magnitude, and learn the bitter lesson we'd be wise to.

This was in the ceefax/oracle days and it was still showing as 2-0 around the time the game was finishing, so I thought we were through and then it suddenly updated.
