I'll take the flak if we lose.

Currently on the Piccadilly line heading to the ground.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Maybe Kane, since everything is happening down the other side?

What a dreadful start to my birthday. And being in the US, I woke up early for this!

Yup. Easy to say it in hindsight but a big call nonetheless and he clearly got it wrong.

The other disaster has been Cameron. He can’t get near Watkins is getting out of position every time they attack and just looks past it. Again, in hindsight, from what I saw last week, Masterson would definitely have been a better bet in this match.

Not exactly hindsight though Hunter. A few of us thought it was a mistake to start Lumley and MannIng in place of Kelly and Wallace.

Strong and stable my arse.

Yep plus Masterson was the first to credit Wallace for his leadership in organising the defence against Swansea. No such leadership on display today, we've looked all at sea defensively and extremely vulnerable to set pieces.

Who is captain - is it Hall?

He's no leader.

Manager has to answer after that capitulation.

Sod the identity, sure up the defence and bin Lumley were straightforward adjustments before the game and he went against it.

And width. And high balls. Or balls on the ground. Other than that, they're great.

He had two players to mark for their second.

Manning completely loses his man for the third who nods across and it's a simple finish from there.

It's easy to forget that Manning is a midfielder shoe-horned in at left back. His early season form going forward masqueraded defensive deficiencies. In particular his stature and positioning is regularly exploited by opposition managers.

2nd half hopefully we just keep it to 3-0 because if Brentford get 5 or 6 I wont be able to leave my house!!

BOS and Eze anonymous this half.

What do you expect when Warburton does his f*cking perverse thing of sticking Ebs out on the left wing to ensure he's a twinkle-toed passenger? Pathetic and ridiculous failure to utilise your most talented resource in the free-floating no. 10 role he should have every goddamn game.

True.

Where I would have an issue with him, though, is his heart.

He throws himself to the ground too easily, and it cost us a goal today. Then his pathetic attempt at challenging his man after he lost him in the lead up to the third goal is terrible.

I've never seen an Irishman with less gumption, with the possible exception of Gary Breen.

Since Brentford went 3 up I've muted the commentary and put on some good tunes and trying to relax with a few Peroni.

Very annoying first half

I'm all for standing behind your players and letting them play through mistakes. But at this point we have gone beyond that with Lumley, I'm worried that you're now creating overconfidence in your players that they aren't droppable, along with Kelly wondering how little faith the manager must have that he won't play him

According to Sky's stats, we had 2% of the game in the final third. That's right - 2, TWO, 2.0%!!! Is this some kind of transdimensional footballlng record?

100% agree - Manning has been poor for quite a while

I'd sell him if there was still interest in him

He can't defend and has been found out in the past 2 months

Agree. So was I. Just saying in hindsight it looks a very bad decision not a debatable one.
