Luton Vans - Match Thread 10:22 - Jan 11 with 56010 viewsCFW

Never had the confidence to start a match thread, going early and hoping first time lucky!!

The obvious questions - will Charlie start? will he be used as an impact sub and can we keep a clean sheet? I really, really hope and pray that bringing him back works out for both sides. There are two Charlie Austins - the one we took on, burning desire to do well, worked very hard for the team, played on even though he was in a lot of pain and gave everything to every game. The other, unfortunately, (if you read and believe the reports) is someone who lost his desire, had his head turned, went off the rails, put on a load of timber and is not, and will never be the same man or player he was in the past. Could go either way, but I hope for both the club and his sake it goes well for him and I wish him all the very best of luck.

I am going for a 1-2 win - and after being awarded a penalty Charlie picks up the ball and gives it to Dykes who slams it into the back of the net to win us the match. They embrace and it is the start of a beautiful partnership.

0-2 Chaz & Geoff
(not quite the same ring as Chaz & Dave, but I suspect that David Cameron would have been even less effective at the back).

Asking a lot of Todd Kane to put his shoes on the correct feet but here we are.

My hearing aid is on the blink, Kane has to wear boss’s sling backs y’say?

I wasn't even nervous until Charlie appeared in the starting line-up. In fact I haven't been nervous about a Rangers game for ages, more resigned. Oh gawd, it's the hope that kills ya.

I wonder if the club are seeing a big surge in bods buying tonight’s game for Gianlucas return, I hope so, glad he’s starting and hoping for a result, I’ll take a point please

Asking a lot of BOS if he’s playing wing back again.

BOS has only two weaknesses, he can not use his left foot and he can not defend. To play him as left wing back made no sense on Saturday and makes no sense tonight.

Try not to worry too much Ted.

Charlie is apparently starting tonight.

Knowing us probably as right wingback.

We won a pretty important game last time he played wing back...

Can we go out yet?

Personally would of loved to see uncle Albert starting,if he’s feeling as positive about Charlie starting as the rest of us QPR fans I’m sure he’d off turned it on tonight supplying crosses on a plate for Charlie. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Lutown didn't score many but dont concede as many as us.

5-4 Rangers. Dykes all 5.

Suddenly we can play 2 strikers who haven't trained together.

Agree on Adomah. He’s got to go with proven experience from kick off st the moment.

Never knowingly right.

I'm going for a good win.
Need a bright start and probably Charlie to do the business in first 60 mins, but feel hell energise the players going forward, expect a bit of a spring in the step.
James Collins was abysmal at Hibs and hopefully he'll continue showing me that form!
