Seems something has finally clicked and he’s doing really well at Orient.

Is his contract up this summer or do we have an option on it?

Smyth also scored for orient, so there’s a big pinch of salt… not sure where I got the perception from, but wasn’t it a bit of an attitude problem there?

Hope he does well but it might be his level.
Anyway good luck to the boy!

It's reported that he got a goal, an assist, and he won a peno.

Is that not a goal and two assists?

Work with a guy whos a big Gills fan and didnt rate him but under Steve Evans even Messi would struggle 😳

I was just talking to a gills fan and he reckons given what they have at the moment, they should have got Kelman back this season.

Or maybe he is starting to mature as a forward and maybe will fulfil his potential

I don't know what the club were thinking of sending him there with Jabba the Hut as manager, seems like it may have wasted a year of his development. Harris probably wasn't much better.

He's started well at Orient so let's hope it continues. In answer to the OP, his contract is up next summer but I expect we've got the usual year's extension option.

Didn't Chair do well in League 2 before making the step up to Championship level. Kelman is only 20, still plenty of time for him to develop into a first team player.

I suppose that depends on whether they scored the penalty.

Think I mentioned before that I know a guy that plays for Hampton & Richmond and played in the friendly against Kelman. Said his movement was razor sharp, was very impressed.

He's been told to shoot more.

Wellens has told him he has talent but is taking too many touches trying to find people when he should shoot himself. He's got a powerful shot for his age and height and should use it more.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Just saw the highlights on ITV, Kelmans goal was very good. He looked very quick, his pace won him the penalty, and his assit was great awareness to head the ball back for the other striker.
Fingers crossed he keeps this up.
Saw on the Orient forum that some of them think he is way to good for League 2.

“Well I must admit to moaning about us signing kellman when I thought we needed a big target man to replace smith who was said to have a longer spell on the sidelines.
I based my argument on his size and poor scoring record , but thus far he has appeared a decent loan signing so perhaps I should moan about more players and get proven wrong.
The trouble is that I think every single acquisition has been an improvement”

Warburton said how impressed he was with his finishing, maybe now he is getting regular starts, he is starting to show it. Hope he is back challenging for a place next season, or even January if it goes really well and Willock is sold.

LF has said that Kelman is the best finisher at the club too. He’s never impressed me but maybe they signed him thinking that finishing is a natural quality and they could coach & improve the rest of his game. Perhaps that’s now starting to come together, let’s hope so.

Bloody impressive indeed. Must have nipped over the Channel right after the game, they're two one up against Clermont at the moment.

Fouled for the penalty, scored the 2nd and assisted the 3rd. Not a bad day's work.

Let's not get our hopes up too much yet with Kelman. Unused sub today and their supporters wanting a goalscorer.
