Honestly, it will not deter Premier League clubs (if that is where he is heading next I would assume) to pay the release compensation with all the monies they have
Rohl signing a long term extension simply means should he get headhunted the club gets a nice pay off and he gets a “dream” job so a win win |  |

I would guess so, but only under the assumption that he came in before Christian "wordsmith" Nourry.

I doubt Burnley will ultimately got for Marti, but I don’t doubt for a second he’d be bang up for it.
They already play his preferred 4-3-3, play out from the back, have a young squad, parachute payments, are about to bring in £50m+ moving on some players and still have Benson who ripped the division up a year ago.

Be nice if, like Sheff Wed, we came out with a contract announcement, but then those things aren't really worth the paper they're written on - if a club comes in with an offer he wants to take there's not a lot you can do at that point.
Along with McKenna and Rohl he's done one of the three best jobs in the division last year. McKenna and Rohl have both now signed new deals at their current places, so he's next cab on the rank.
He's progressive in his style and tactics, very on trend.
He's shown he can work with limited resources. Coaching and improving players rather than just needing/demanding loads of new players.
And, sadly, the way the remains of local newspapers in this country work, and of course social media, you're rewarded for clicks and engagement, not whether it's true or not. If Hull are looking at Danny Rohl and you do a headline to that effect you get clicks from Hull and Sheffield, if you say they're looking at Rohl, Schumacher and Cifuentes you get clicks from Hull, Sheffield, London and Stoke. Is it true? Nah. But apparently that doesn't matter any more, as long as people are clicking.
You see this every transfer window in QPR Twitter land. Somebody sets themselves up as "freelance journalist" or "anonymous agent" or "bored intermediary". Starts vaguely hinting they've got a source at the training ground - give it a name to add credibility - and Tweeting stuff out. Trouble is annoyingly those clubs like Chels have realised you don't just nick the manager/players you go for the backroom staff. So they've taken the Brighton backroom team and Man U have just poached the Ipswich head of recruitment (admittedly he started at Man U but only as an intern.
