Kamara looks a pretty sensible loan addition. Dare I ask, is he our first decent Finnish signing since Antti Heinola?
Anyway, the midfield still looks the biggest concern for me. We still desperately need an experienced enforcer in there, someone who can tackle, run all day and do the dirty work against Millwall, Boro, etc. You don't survive a 46-game Championship season without that type of player. Fair question and Kamara may well help with some of that. But from what I've seen, he looks more like a progressive midfielder who likes to carry the ball and keep things moving rather than a pure Championship midfield enforcer.
My bigger concern is whether he can realistically get through 46+ league games given his recent stats and minutes over the last few seasons. If he's managed properly, he could be a very useful addition, but I'd still want another body in there.
For me we're still missing that proper warrior type. Someone who'll rack up tackles, cover every blade of grass, break up play and relish the ugly physical battles. Kamara can add quality, but I don't think he should be the only answer to the midfield question. | | | |

There aren't many of that sort of players around these days, not least because tackling has become a niche activity, it's all backing off and blocking now. You have to admire how quickly modern players can run backwards. | |
