Needs to be tested for steroid abuse. Look at his over-developed sloping neck muscles, and the huge Adam's Apple. A classic case.

Good goal? - absolutely.

Great goal? - undoubtedly.

World class goal? - of course.

Not a bloody patch on Trevor Sinclair’s goal though.

The good news is, another side-effect of steroid abuse is testicular atrophy. Maybe a future candidate for the Darwin Awards?

From within the area, but give him credit, planted right in the corner.

I have given him credit MrSheen. It’s not as good as Sinclair’s though.

I remember the morning after Trevor’s goal vs Barnsley, Bobby Gould was interviewed on the telly and said if that was scored by a Brazilian, it would be shown on the tv everyday for evermore.

Thank god that Sky don’t have the rights to Champions League football anymore. They’d be on a tugging frenzy for weeks, months and years.

No it wasnt. Trevs was further out but ronaldo had to shift six feet to his right and then get six feet in the air. Probably the best bicycle kick ive seen."l

Breathtaking goal. Rather than make comparisons, just enjoy it! Ronaldo and Messi won't be around forever.

This was, of course, a great goal. I honestly think the media love them out to be more amazing than they are, though. Personally i used to love scissor kicks and bicycle kicks. If you've got good athleticism and agility, i really don't think they are anywhere near as hard as people believe. I'd have fancied my chances from there more than i would with Ryan Manning's header. Heading the ball is a more difficult skill, at least for me. It's like a 'save for the cameras' from a keeper looks more spectacular than coming to catch a cross, but they all make the saves easily enough. They aren't impossible if you're agile. I mean that Rooney goal off his shin was voted the best in the premier league, wasn't it? Roy Wegerle's goal takes the piss out of it.

Overrated. Honestly.

Trevor's goal was a lot further out from a cross travelling at speed. That was an amazing overhead kick.

Ps Anybody who doesn't believe, just watch the Thais playing their sepak takraw. Thai people being extremely cat-like are a very graceful and balletic people, easily able to leap about and pull off amazing bicycle kicks time and time again using rattan balls and land comfortably on their feet like its no problem.

Pps Bloody good goal still , of course.

I've watched it, what am I missing?

Sure, it's a reasonable effort I suppose, but he was unmarked in the box - unforgivable at that level - and the wuss of a defender wasn't prepared to get his 'kin nut in where it hurts.

Can't see what the fuss is about myself for what is in effect, a glorified tap.

good goal by Ronaldo , like him or loath him that man carries his club and country in the big games a brilliant player , but that goal was no where near as goods as Sinclair's it still winds me up that MOTD fawned all over waddles effort that day for Bradford than trevs , then again the media have never liked us

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

CR is a special player, the likes of which don't come along very often.
I always remember this one by Denis Tueart for Man City in the league cup final at Wembley in 1976.

Too right - I was underwhelmed watching it live, despite the commentator's hysteria. Rooney's was way better and that wasn't a patch on Tricky's.

Well you have to agree with the pundits, when it comes to the big games he does produce the performances, whether United, Portugal or Real.

For all the wonderful things little Lionel does (and I am a fan) he has never achieved that consistency in the major games or competitions.
