Early Bird for next season
at 11:05 18 Oct 2016

Thanks for the info..didn't read that on saturday.

Without wanting to sound too cynical but I would hate to think the club may be bringing forward the early bird period in hope it enourages more fans to use the payment plans which they may have a revenue steam from...no that would never happen

Early Bird for next season
at 08:05 18 Oct 2016

Does any one have an idea or suspect as to when we may be asked to stump up for next season. If memory serves me correct they advertised prices for this season in Feb for an April payment which was extended.

Appreciate we are only in October however with the growing discontent among the fan base regarding performances it will be intersting to see when the club deem it acceptable to ask for our hard earned cash...

Hi Seven...Jets Buffalo was a great game...I am an avid fan.

Some really interesting results this weekend with Rams winning, but Lions and Saints losing & Dolphins going close.

Panthers looked especially strong after taking Bronco's close ..but I have a feeling it will be a team from the North that wins the Lombardi Trophy...

Packers should get to the Play Offs with the Vikings but I think the NFC north being such a hard fought division takes its toll in the end when it comes to the play offs

Safe Trip home ..

Hi Boston...Sam Bradford could see the Vikings win the Division though Petersons injury could even things out
McCarthys decision to go for TD on the 2 yard line when at 10-7 down swung the game to the Vikings...
As I said the NFC North is looking tough

Shaun Derry... bottom of the pile... not looking good!

Sounds surreal , especially with the frenzy that surrounds JFH at the moment, but patience at Cambridge may pay dividends....Cambridge have played most of the top 8 so far this season....a real tough opening couple of months for Shaun

Steelers looking a strong prospect and I think the Jags could be the surprise package of the season

Being a Packers Fan I am concerned about how strong the Division is looking..the GB and Vikings Game tonight will be a decisive one even this early in the season

We can't do it yet again
at 11:07 18 Sep 2016

Hi Ladbroke, in a word yes however EssexTaxiBoy seems to have clarified the Rolling Contract Situation.

I just see a situation being created where with if results don't improve and the Club stay quiet then the JFH out frenzy which is bubbling will manifest.

I don't wish to have consistency just for the sake of it however we have recently had new managers come and then in their first summer remove some of the more influential players at the club and not in real terms replace them ( thinking of Mr Hughes ...Derry and Barton(!!).In order to develop stability should we consider bringing in someone who can work with JFH , who in the grand scheme of things is still an inexperienced manager, rather than removing him.I guess JFH may not see that as a solution but even HR wasn't stupid enough to turn away Steve McLaren when he had the opportunity to add him to the coaching staff

Whats up with our defence....
at 09:23 18 Sep 2016

JFH talks alot about confidence being low but does that really excuse the two goals we conceded yesterday, or how we defended against Newcastle,2 out of the 3 at Barnsley, plus the three we conceded at home against PNE and Blackburn.

The Majority of goals we have concded have been down to basic errors and the defence not working as a unit or communicating.

For all the talk about High Tempo Football has any one got insight into which one of the Coaching Team is actually respnsible for the Defence

Personally I think only one person will decide if he wants to stay or go and thats JFH!
He has around 10 weeks remaining on his current 1 year rolling contract and I find it some what strange that the club have entered into discussions with Chery regarding his contract but no word what so ever if JFH's contract will be extended.
I read alot about the maintaining the Management of the Club needing to consolidate and be consistent in their approach which I entirely agree with. However for you as long as you have uncertainty over whether a Key person is remaining in a business then it will always in my opinion result in inconsistent performances from members of their team..
The Club could easily this week put an end to any media/fan talk of JFH being replaced and confirm his contract will be extended through to the end of the season.I may not agree with it but it would bring stability and help to remove any uncertainity.

Has Fate dealt a Cruel Hand to JFH
at 18:25 14 Sep 2016

If we were to have a continued bad run of form which culminates in a loss at Burton do you think we would risk the team going into a game at craven cottage with JFH at the helm...their confidence would be low enough & the venom they and he would get if we performed poorly ( again) would make it doubly difficult for any new manager coming in to rebuild.

I guess its all ifs and buts but those 2 games at the end of the month could not come potentially at worse time for him especially with the international break on the weekend of the 8th Oct

Has Fate dealt a Cruel Hand to JFH
at 17:23 14 Sep 2016

With the aftermath of last nights game still in full swing and what on paper appear to be 3 tough games coming up where a major turn around in form & performance will be expected could the Burton Away Game be more important than JFH would like..

I would expect Nigel Clough to have has team fully motivated in proving JFH he was wrong to leave them and so far this season they have succeeded in being a hard team to play against.

Could it be Burton who deliver the final punch to JFH's time at QPR if our form has not radically improved by the 27th..

Leader of Men
at 22:10 13 Sep 2016

Just home...yes I did leave when the 4th went in but there was never going to be a port vale or even a Newcastle type of come back on the cards tonight as the team looked beaten from the first whistle
I will let others mull over the tactics employed by JFH tonight but my concern is where is our leader of men.

In games such as tonight when your backs are against the wall you need an individual who
Leads by example and competes even when you know you have no chance of succeeding .

Tonight we had no one on the pitch to stand alongside Derry,Macca,Bircham or Clint...If we have no leader we have a team who will crumble on a regular basis

First Game Blip

Thank you for your kind Comments..

As for cheese , I would need to go far a mature english cheddar with a South African Merlot

Regarding Grammar Schools Ladbroke, Parents are free to have the highest aspirations possible for their children so why should politicians , especially those who denounce Private or Grammar Schools but send their own children to them, be able to restrict the ambitions and potential of our youth.

First Game Blip
at 09:21 11 Sep 2016

For most teams the first game blip normally results in sound thrashing however being QPR we started the season with pace, excitement and a home win, we were delirious with joy and anticipation of what the season may bring. We revelled in JFH's talk of High Pressing Football & the players never being fitter.A win at Cardiff followed and the optimism following two back to back wins from our first 2 league games ensured that many thought the messiah had indeed arrived at Loftus Road and that his first 9 months at the Club were no different to what Moses had to endure when he led his people to the promised land.

So by within 10 days of the season started we were euphoric, the R's were on top form, the Sun was Out and everything looked fantastic then we played Barnsley.

I attended the Game at Oakwell with a couple of friends, have been to every game other than Cardiff and Rochdale so far, and to be fair as has been well documented we were played off the park by a team that today is currently third in the division. After the defeat I didn't walk away with a cloud hanging over me,I thought we had lost to a team who had an abundance of pace & energy & our defence had room for improvement. However the Barnsley Game for JFH appears to me to have been a turning point..

I watched him go down the tunnel at Oakwell and it was plain to see he was seething, the Ref got blasted in his post match comments but his reactions since then, which were compounded by the PNE game, have led him to turn to the style of football he enforced at Burton and in his initial days at LR.Gone is the enthusiam & excitement of Leeds as we now have a strategy which is about minimising the risk of losing.

I won't cover points that have been mentioned in other threads such as the continuing role of Henry, the need to have kept Ale , the abscence of Sandro but despite his pontificating and apparent confidence in his own ability I am really unsure about what JFH has brought to the club.

I believe if we had continued with Warnock we would have finished in a similar position to what was achieved by JFH.In the summer we released a number of players and brought in a similar number as we were going to play high intensity football which apart from Leeds I haven't seen since. This compunded by the fact that 9 of the starting 11 from yesterday were at the club last season begs me to consider do we have a manager who is merely coasting while he waits for another job opportunity to arise, remember he is on a 12 month rolling contract which currently expires in early December, or is he struggling because he is not as good as manager as he and his cv may suggest.

My expectations for the season are merely to improve on where we finished in May but September will be a month which will give us a guide on whether we go into the autumn / winter with expectations of hope or concern. We play the top 2 within five days of each other and then have Birmingham,Buron and Sunderland in the space of a week.

I look forward to seeing if the high intensity was a one match blip or if we can carry it forward during periods when games come thick & fast.Either way JFH needs to find a solution as only taking 4 points out of 9 from games against the bottom 3 could be cause for concern

As for me..been going to LR since 83,season ticket holder in Upper Loft and good friends with L Block ( please don't hold that against me) and LadbrokeR.I enjoy the debate LFW offers and hope to add my own two pennies worth in from time to time...
