Just read that all looks agreed for Ayew to join West Ham...
I am honestly quite embarrassed that we're selling arguably our best player to one of our rivals.
Yeah, we may be getting a lot for him but what's money like that if we aren't going to spend it on someone better? Borja Baston's been linked, everybody seems satisfied.
Llorente is a decent signing but it won't be enough to take us to the next level. Probably our first summer since we've been in the Premier League where we've had a chance to take the club to the next level on the pitch and we've sat back and watched it walk past.
I'm honestly gutted and disappointed that we are willing to let Ayew go off to West Ham.

Baston scored 18 goals in La Liga last year which is certainly not equivalent to League 1.
If we bring him in together with Llorente and a wide player I'd have no problems in Ayew going if we get good value for him. | | | |

What's the point in keeping an unhappy player? We need players here who want to play for the Swans. My disappointment will be if we sell him for less than £25M. He obviously needs to be replaced with quality. Chadli would be a good replacement. |  |

Agree. An Ayew who does not wish to be here replaced with Llorente, Baston and Chadli would be pretty good business for me. About as sick as Ayew speculation as I am of seeing Pogba's never ending transfer to man Utd. | | | |

Have to say, just watched Baston's goals last season for Eibar. Looks the real deal for me, comfortable in and around the six yard box, nipping in in front of defenders to get on the end of crosses to finish, and also scoring spectacular goals with shots outside the box. Reminded me of a certain M, Michue. Go check em out , his record speaks for itself. I think Baston should be our starter and Llorente supporting probably off the bench. Huw get the deal done | | | |

There is no next level, unless they are talking about regular European qualification, which is stupid. Next level is just PR bullsh1t put out by the shareholders, as a reason to sell (for "investment"). |  |

At 31, it may not end up being wise to try to force more than 25 matches out of Llorente, even if he is our preferred striker. We shall see, but that needs to be considered. |  |

I'd be pleased if we got Llorente and Baston, and I wouldn't be too devastated if we replaced Ayew with Chadli. But what I don't get is the failure to appreciate that there is a risk involved. Goals in La Liga do not always translate into goals in the EPL. There have been plenty of flops in the past, and Llorente in particular has gone through a difficult spell. The reason there is interest in Ayew is that he has a recent track record of delivering on EPL goals. Over time clubs that buy on known track record are likely to do better than clubs that gamble - and they are willing to pay a premium to reduce uncertainty. Naturally I hope that our gamble pays off this time, and I hope we make West Ham pay the premium that is due. | | | |

We haven't finished shopping yet I reckon. I wouldn't rule out anything with Guido. He's tactically very flexible, we didn't see that much variation last season because we were just focussed on staying up last season.
I reckon FG will surprise a lot of people this season and I'm mildly optimistic, especially if we get Borja, Chadli and a good RB in. |  |

Our team fell apart with Ayew all over the place. He gets credited with 12 goals in a low scoring side without anyone coming out and saying he is one of the reasons we are a low scoring side, despite his personal return. Nothing against him but he's not a great player for us and I'll be happy to see him gone. |  |
