appears a new young/hungry manager has been signed (in the image of 1-2 predecessors that worked (martinez/rodgers, along with 1-2 that didn't monk/clement) accepting the latter didn't commit to swansealona footie but you know what I mean

players already being signed, this lad from Liverpool, linked with 1-2 others

no statement from the board, other than some vague apology that wasn't really an apology

and jenkins, dineen et al continuing like business as usual

and not much the fans can do, with the trust in theory our only line into the decision makers, but with no line into the decision makers

and lots of anger on this board and among the fans.

anyone else just a little bit frustrated that both a club we care about, and a customer focused business has essentially been allowed to pretend nothing has really happened.

where is the accountability? where?????

cool and calm is great if it hadn't been 3/4 years of decline, it's way past a tweak here or there, that was what jenkins had promised every time after recent failures.

talk about disconnecting with the fan base ...

I said “let’s put a value on him and see who is closest. I will go for £30m”

At no point did I say this is what we would get for him, that would depend on when we sold him and to whom.

In fact it is so appallingly bad that it somehow manages to completely screw up Google, to the extent that the advanced search says "Mawson" has never been discussed on this site:

I’ve seen £15m with £5m in add ons suggested which isn’t great, especially when you consider Barnsley supposedly have a 15% sell on fee on profit. I know we’re not in the strongest of negotiating positions but I feel we should have done better there.

£20m is a terrible price.

I would hope it is more like the £25m reported by the mail.

We are unfortunately selling to a newly promoted side so it won’t be the £30m we probably could have got.

£20m isn’t in line with my expectations and whilst you can argue that he’s only worth what clubs are willing to pay I think this price is light to the tune of at least £5m.

Sorry if it’s a Ferdy, but the fee for Mawson from the reports I’ve seen is £15m rising to £20m with add ons.

Fair price, but with Barsnley’s sell on nothing really to write home about. Decent signing for Fulham but nowhere near ready for a big club yet, hope he progresses now though, seems a decent lad.
