As I said above mate YES on a LEVEL PLAYING FIELD and with all things considered equal Alfie IS worth more than £20M, however, I hope that lessons have been learned from last Summer’s window where by holding out for the extra £5M for Siggy until late into the window we ended up with ‘panic signings’ a la Bony .....
OK maybe Alfie is worth £25/30M in today’s market but when the season is just FIVE, YES FIVE DAYS away we may have to accept a lower cash bid in order to get some new signings in over the line which now appears to be the case.
Put yourself in Fulham’s shoes they know the score and that we need the cash to buy so will NEVER bid top dollar (no pun intended) and are in the driving seat in negotiations .... | |
