So temperatures not rising then on 21:38 - Jan 4 by Scotia
Well the Met Office regional manager didn't seem to have a problem with the Cambridge climat site or equipment when he audited the site shortly after the reading . That's good enough for me.
I'm pretty certain the Heathrow record has been verified too, I don't know about the Scottish one.
Perhaps Ulrika could tell us differently if someone sends her a photo of the sites?
Anyway these one off records individually don't mean a huge amount, they are just snapshots. To understand climate and any changes you have to look over decade's.

Do you personally know the requirements for a class 1 site? No buildings within 100 metres, take a look at the google map of the site and then tell me he should have signed it off. It is typical of you saying because he is an official it is good enough for you when it isn't good enough for the World Meterological Organisation for a class 1 site, that is what you just don't get. Because that pervades the whole of Climate system.
Like I said clueless.

Nobody said it needs to be a class 1 site, the professional meteorologist who visited the site was satisfied it recorded the temperature correctly. That is good enough for me, I don't believe he had an ulterior motive. Why would he?
Anyway, as I said before these temperature measurements on their own are weather and not climate. If some sites slightly over or under record that may be down to poor weather stations, local conditions or human error. However surely then these would be seen as outliers? Whereas they are actually very similar to other nearby records for example the Heathrow record was nearly matched at the same time in Kew, is there something wrong with that one too?
Regardless of climat site quality the good, bad and indifferent are all demonstrating a warming trend when climate rather than weather is considered.

A warming trend coming out of the LIA, can't argue with that. Half a degree in 150 years is nothing to worry about and is very welcome. As is that extra 120ppm of CO2 for greening the world.

“the Heathrow record was nearly matched at the same time in Kew“
As someone who lives just a couple of miles from Kew, I can further confirm that when I went outside it was bloody hot. And my family, mates and neighbours all thought the same. Which could be called peer review.
I don’t know why you bother - he will never ever believe you or the vast majority of people that know what they’re talking about. Still, meatloaf thinks the same which is all that matters.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

He clearly doesn't understand the basics of science let alone climate change.

My daughter sent me this earlier she said the sky was bright orange at 2.30 pm , Auckland is about 1400 miles from Australia but still affected, we are all being affected by climate change.
Life is an adventure or nothing at all.

"when I went outside it was bloody hot". The "Science" of warmists. Thanks for making it clear. It is called summer weather, just like it was in 1976.

Odd that, because the first principle of Science is scepticism and you have zero. So in your complete acceptance that the world is warming due to CO2 would you expect the decade starting 2010, especially in light of all those declared new records, to be warmer or cooler in the UK than the one starting in 2000?

Sydney hit 48.9c on Friday. Canberra 43c. One day last week every state in Australia recorded a temperature of 40c or above.
Or is “the man” making that up?
The government have installed thermometers with impure mercury that show temperatures to be around 25 degrees hotter than it is. In fact it’s bloody freezing there and the fires are actually caused by God’s anger because of his hatred of homosexuality.

I am really sorry for all those people that have lost their lives or the live of their relatives and/ or property. I am also very sorry for all the dead animals. However those fires have nothing to do with Climate Change and everything to do with a very deep 1 year drought, Arsonists (over 200, including a fire fighter) and too much fuel due to Government Green policies not allowing prescribed burning to reduce it. It was predicted to happen by a bushfire scientist in 2015. https://amp.theage.com.au/nati
Even the Aborigines used prescribed burning to reduce fuel load and increase the fertility of the land way before Europeans even new Australia existed.
Droughts are a fact of life in Australia, did Climate hange cause the droughts from 1813 to 1815 or 1826 to 1829 or 1896 to 1900 or 1911 to 1916 or 1937 to 1947 or 1979 to 1983?

God actually only mildly dislikes homosexuals, it's pansexuals he really hates, how dare they not care about gender! The Mercury thermometers were supplied by the Uk and are quite clearly wrong, it's all down to brexit and not being able to buy decent Mercury.
What truly was scary was when the Aussie spokesman said the fires were so bad they were creating their own weather! I watched footage from a firetruck showing it battling through a firestorm where they had to put heat resistant blankets against the windows in case the heat shattered them.
If it's climate change or just severe weather, something is not right and the damage being done to the planet (so ultimately to us) has to be reversed.

“To understand climate and any changes you have to look over decade's.“
And, most importantly, you need the skills and knowledge to be able to analyse and understand the data. Which is why climate change threads are always a car crash on here.
