| Breaking News: 2 police shot in USA 08:56 - Sep 13 with 6385 views | Dr_Parnassus | A video has emerged of a person going up to a cop car and shooting two police officers in the head. Protesters have stopped the emergency services attending the scene chanting “we hope they die”. They have since been taken to a hospital in LA where BLM and ANTIFA have gathered outside the hospital wishing for the death of the officers. [Post edited 13 Sep 2020 9:02]

| Breaking News: 2 police shot in USA on 20:53 - Sep 13 by Neath_Jack | Nothing to do with context. Hige posted false news, and others jumped on it like slavish vampires. It’s because they wanted it to be true to fit. You tried coming to their rescue, with an extremely funny excuse. What is the context you refer too? |
The context of the current BLM movement. As I said, had it been white police killing a black man, it would have been much more prominent. This is what the bbc do if things don’t fit their narrative, they prefer to say other news stories are more important.

The links don't work? They're links to the Dylann Roof story where a right wing extremist murdered 9 black churchgoers, the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting where a right wing extremist murdered eleven worshippers and the El Paso shootings where a right wing extremist murdered 20.

That's the front page of a localised, sub-menu on the main BBC news website, hence the forward slash after news.It is not the front page of BBC news. So you're wrong. On the main BBC news page, where most people look, the only mention of it (that I've seen, at least) is in the most-read section. So it is on the main page due to traction gained away from the main page. It's really that simple. I really don't want to disagree for the sake of it; it's not you versus us, but in this instance, you're being misleading. Tell me, do you consider the BBC's paucity of coverage of this incident, on its main news page, at all surprising? You should. But I don't, and nor do many others here. One more - where do you think the next black person killed by a cop will be featured? On the main front page, or in the localised section you've linked us? I do wonder. I sure don't feel like a slavish vampire, and I doubt you do either. But I wouldn't be so consistently at odds with a few of these fellows, if they weren't so consistently wrong. What's worse is the reveling in some delusion of victory. Bit like letting your kid beat you in an arm wrestle. [Post edited 13 Sep 2020 23:54]

And they wonder why posters don’t debate with them, they flat out believe only what they want to, no matter what evidence is put before them. They’d rather go around and around, blaming font sizes and the colour of the moon. But, they are definitely not right wing, no siree. |
I think you should try and debate your point personally. All you seem to do is snipe at posters. You have now posted maybe 10-15 times on these subjects and at no point have you managed to put a compelling view forward.

| Breaking News: 2 police shot in USA on 20:48 - Sep 13 by Humpty | Incredible aren't they? As soon as I saw the OP I looked it up. On the BBC. I then responded at 13:41. Rather than admit they were talking crap they're now whining about the size of the story, where it is etc. I wonder how many American news agencies would have an attack on two UK cops as a front page story. |
Another example. The amount of posts on these subjects you have clocked up is probably even more than NJ. Between you neither have come up with any sort of compelling argument for BLM and stayed around long enough to field a reply. It’s all about abuse and then making an excuse and dipping out the second it looks like you may be asked to expand on your views. There is a reason for that.

I am stunned to see that people are actually trying to suggest there isn’t any bias in the MSN. You will see that these people happily debate silly things like if something is on the front page of a website, post a million smileys, relentless in their pursuit if something is or isn’t on a website. Ask them why they support BLM, where oppression exists and in what form... you won’t see them for dust. They get a pre programmed electrical charge to the brain which blurts out “racist” or “right wing” like some form of Tourette’s when under threat.. then off they go until the next time they can post on the subject in some shallow sniping capacity. | Breaking News: 2 police shot in USA on 21:25 - Sep 13 by Humpty | FFs lads. You messed up. It's not a biggie but you just can't let it go can you? What HJ posted was wrong. I'm sure he didn't mean it, he just made a mistake. The rest jumped in as they saw an opportunity for a whinge at the BBC, as NJ described. If you'd have left it at that, that would have been it. But none of you can admit to being wrong, ever. And the more you go one and on about it the more foolish you make yourselves look. And everyone else can see it. Hold your hands up, admit a mistake, move on. |
Well I said I couldn’t see anything on the Beeb which was 100% true. I went on my phone on the bbc website I couldn’t see anything about it. NJ then came along with his superior googling skills and pointed out quite correctly that it’s in the USA and Canada regional subsection. It wasn’t on the “front” page at all. It still isn’t for me anyhow.

| Breaking News: 2 police shot in USA on 01:00 - Sep 14 with 751 views | Dr_Parnassus | Quite right Ben. These people falsely pushing their BLM narrative are causing people to be in danger and we are now seeing the results of that and will for quite some time, even when BLM have packed up and gone home as usual after November 3rd. If anyone would like to present some compelling evidence behind this movement I would love to have the opportunity to see the logic behind it. Humpty nearly got there then got cold feet at the last moment so if anyone is feeling particularly brave on the subject, a discussion would be more productive that the squabbling currently on offer from that side. Anyone? | |

| Breaking News: 2 police shot in USA on 20:34 - Sep 13 by Neath_Jack | I was responding to one of your mates claims that it wasn’t on the beeb. I’m merely pointing out his fake news. It’s on their website, and it’s on the news app. Now your pal didn’t say it had to be a certain sized headline, or have a particular coloured border or font style. Anything else I can help you and your little posse with? |
Yes there is, but you do seem a little frightened of answering for reasons only you know. Can you help us see where there is oppression in America in 2020 and explain how that manifests itself please? Explain to me in your own words where is exists, how it exists and what BLM is lobbying for in order to change that. Sounds like it would make for a very informative debate. For example, the prime mover behind the BLM movement is the claim that black people are killed disproportionately to other races, which just isn’t true is it, not even close to being true. So what else is being claimed to be a prime mover of this organisation and why are you supporting it? Seems the most logical and sensible place to start I would suggest. Alternatively I would happily explain my views on it, I can be pressed on it until the cows come home and I would welcome it such is the depth of research and knowledge behind the forming of my opinion. Would you say the same about yours?

That riot is pathetic. Have you seen the incident? He was literally chasing them with a knife wielded over his head. Prime example that people don't give a damn what the reason is, they just want to cause chaos. This has never been about race and I mean never. Purely political.

| Breaking News: 2 police shot in USA on 10:43 - Sep 14 with 637 views | Glossolalia | Again, it seems we are all part of some awful clan or posse, owing to the fact that we can all see patent inconsistencies with the media's reporting on crime, depending on the skin colour of the perpetrator and victim. I would normally find it absurd to congratulate others for simply possessing a little perception. Unfortunately, given the rapid dissolution of common sense, here I am telling you all - well done on being rational. To be relieved by such a thing is somewhat disturbing, however. | | | |

I watched that and besides the obvious, did you notice his face, he looked like he had lost it, was screaming and yelling. The thing is there will be people who will say the footage has been faked and even more who will believe it because they want to believe this is racism and murder of black people by white people. It's possible all the recent BLM activity has made black people far more intolerant of white police, more aggressive towards them and more likely to do something stupid and try to make out it's self defence. AS I said several times, all BLM has done is cause more trouble, more arguments and more division.

You really are a fool. One that avoids any form of respectable debate. The story was quite a long way down the main page, as a text link. How can you not make a distinction between a full headline on a main news page, and a text link buried halfway down? 😂 I missed it at first, because I don't scroll down that far usually, nor do I click on regional news tabs. That's not bias on my part, nor is it a desire not to see it; that's the media making a cursory attempt at under-representing what is big news, especially in these times of racial tension in the US. Although, given the BBC's increasing partiality, perhaps I'm asking too much! Most people don't Google BBC, they type in bbc.co.uk in the search bar. And most people read the front main page headlines because ostensibly, that's where the biggest stories are. As usual, insults about us (whoever 'us' is) as being rabid extremists, when most of us are simply driven by rational thought and a wish for media fairness. You, however, fail to address anything leveled at your way. Entirely predictable. Unbearably boring. [Post edited 14 Sep 2020 11:18]

Oi oi Glossybollocks. Would it make you feel better if I said ok you were correct? Would it? Couple of points for you: You have absolutely no idea whether most people search for BBC news the way I did, or the way you suggested. Nobody has called anyone an extremist. So more fake news from the right wing snowflakes, yes? Have a go at answering that if you like, you will be able to answer it with a single word, no explanations or YouTube links required. And you and Adam wonder why people can’t be arsed to debate with you. You will never see the other persons point, never. It has been proven over and over in these little exchanges in this thread. Not that I get any pleasure from agreeing with you but I typed BBC news into the tool bar and got the same page you did. I still say though, the story deserves more attention than it got. Britferry asked why Chadwick Boseman dying made headline news, questioning how famous he was, if an American actor gets that much attention doesn't 2 police officers being shot deserve the same level, especially with all the BLM activity? Or is it the case that the news media is fed up with it all and looking for something new to focus on?

You are very misguided to presume that anything you say has a bearing on how I feel. 😂Simply drivel on a screen, really. Although allow me to presume that you've actually conceded a point. The BBC will advertise their main new page on search engines, as a top result. This isn't open for debate. Done. Finished. Most people read the main headlines because they have busy lives, and rely on what should be an impartial media to enlighten them. Not really a contentious point. Your language, and others' have suggested many on here as being more extreme in their views than what is true. Not in this thread maybe, but we all know our interactions transcend a single thread. I've been called all sorts. Very funny actually. I see your point - you thought that a BBC news sub menu was in fact the main BBC news page. Even pasted a link. You are wrong, and your entire argument, if it can be called that, was based on this glaring mistake. You failed to make a fundamental distinction. Not much of a platform for a debate, so try harder you dullard. The question isn't whether people want to debate me. It's more that they can't, in the main. Where is the debate here? You concede a point because it's patently wrong, and then I give you a dressing down. In three pages, we've finally got you to realise the difference between a main and sub news page. Snail's pace. And you question why you should debate me? God alive.😂 Go and bore someone else you halfwit [Post edited 14 Sep 2020 12:02]
