The white football lads who you say were protesting, iirc were there to stop the statues being smashed up, it should have never got to that stage, the statues should have been protected by the police.
In a way, I'm glad they turned up, it seemed to stop the vandalism, but doing what blm did towards the monuments didn't win them any fans, in-fact it turned many people against them.

Yes, they were boarded up, but I think they did that when they realised the football lads were going, because the police knew it would be a flashpoint.. Think it was the day before the protest.

I seem to recall being an early adopter of the opinion that BLM wasn’t the force for good that was being portrayed by the media, I disagreed with taking the knee, got slated for it, stuck to my guns, guess what, plenty more are now of the same opinion due to what they have seen BLM do.
