Has the world been conned over COVID-19? 09:53 - Dec 13 with 33389 viewsA_Fans_Dad

The actions of Governments all over the world are shaped on the basis of the PCR COVID test results.
For months now there have been serious question marks over the accuracy of the tests.
Well now there is a definitive study on the original research and it's world wide adoption which is totally condemning.

https://www.globalresearch.ca/

This does not decry the deaths that occur with COVID-19, but there are also many questions over the counting of them as well.

There are no staff to man these hospitals, staff shortages in hospitals are making it difficult to man the normal hospitals. In the first wave many volunteered to return to work after retirement ect to enable the nightingale hospitals to be manned if required, that option is not available now.

Is that any reason to strip it back to bare at considerable extra cost?
They could have just left them mothballed, I am sure that there are still volunteers capable of general hospital work, they can't have all died form COVID.
They could also have considerably improved the facilities with portable ICUs and even portable operating theatres.

Oh crap, sorry to hear that. Lots of people in that boat this year.

Whatever we disagree on I honestly wish you good luck and that the new year will bring your missus a better job.

Thanks Cat, it's all in the balance atm.
It wont be the first time the missus has faced redundancy.
There are a hell of a lot more folk in a worse position,so we'll just have to wait and see.
Have a good one.

I went back to find this, just to say that that training day, was it for the armed forces personnel who will be driving ambulances to take the strain off the ambulance service?

Yep looks like, was in the news today, that explains it then.

What is that article supposed to prove?

That there is a staffing shortage, yes we already knew that, which is why they wanted older trained staff to step up, so what changed between April and now regarding using those people?

"Rupert Pearse, an intensive care doctor in east London, said the situation in the capital as well as in north Kent and south Wales "remains very difficult".
But he says the Nightingales will not help because of the lack of trained staff.
"We are already 'diluting' our skilled ICU nursing staff with less-well-trained volunteers.""

Who said anything about using them for COVID, not me, in fact I suggest exactly the opposite, so anyone working there would not need ICU training unless they added ICUs to the nightingales.
They would be safe (non COVID environments) for general patients to be treated.

Or was it that they didn't have the right equipment for ICU use, why would that matter if the hospital was used for general patients and if they really needed them why wouldn't ICUs be added, considering how much had already been spent on them.

You seem to be very cavalier with Tax payers money.

I could be wrong but even with all the volunteers, aren't they still short of staff? They can't open the field hopsitals because there just aren't the numbers to staff them safely.

On the news right now, over 39000 new cases in the last 24 hours. 69,501 deaths now.

If many more staff drop with the virus...or any other illness I guess...the NHS is in real danger of collapsing.
Another new variant found in South Africa thta is even more infectious and we have cases in the UK already too.
The governments across the world need to close down international travel NOW. It's berserk that we are allowing people to travel across the world.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

The media like to dramatise things to make them very impactive, but this article raises some really pertinent points. I don’t think these kind of situations where ever considered when our hospital estate was being designed and it makes isolating areas very difficult. We need to learn from this experience, whether we will is another matter!

You make a good pint about closing international borders, one whiff of a new virus and Europe is locking down very quickly, meanwhile we place travel restrictions between different areas of the UK, introduce quarantines which aren't enforced, allow certain individuals and professions to have light touch restrictions. International travel has fuelled the outbreak and we allow it to continue so-that different viruses can come in.

We need to pull up the drawbridge as New Zealand has done, if you want to come here they can quarantine in a government facility for 2 weeks.

NHS is struggling for staff, they can’t staff the wards they have open, they have lots on sick, more self isolating, the army have been brought in to support the ambulance service and it’s hard to see a way forward at the moment. Volunteers would be good, I think some came back after retiring to help out, but doing a few extra weeks is different to full time.

I'll refer you to the response to your ridiculous claims, the bit below copied from a response you ignored.

Swedish deaths flattened out, just like all other Countries between waves.

Lets look at some other figures, deaths since Nov 1.

Norway 122, thats 22 deaths per million population
Finland 131, thats 23 deaths per million population

Sweden 1968, thats 194 deaths per population.

Compared to the rest of the World, Finland and Norway are outside the top 100 Countries for deaths per million. Even though Sweden has twice the population of both these Countries you'd expect them to be in the same ball park of death per million due to the large land mass and sparce population.

Instead they sit at #25.

Bollox to mistake in care homes, every country, including my own, had issues in care homes.

Donkeys like you make the crisis last longer.

Lets have todays figures shall we 750 deaths UK 23 deaths Sweden and then we have you with your charts trying to convince everyone otherwise

No they haven't. They've increased as cases have increased to a far higher level than other similar countries that have locked down.

They look better because they backdate deaths.

You have been going on about backdate deaths for such a long time now, and no matter how far back you go the deaths remain really low, anyway lets have todays figures, 750 deaths UK 58 of them in Wales, a very small country is Wales, oh and again only 23 in Sweden.

There are many problems associated with splitting hospitals for covid and non covid. Both need ICU so you would need to split the ICU staff. What happens if a non covid patient shows with it. You then have to transfer how many as others will have caught it. What about if staff in the non covid hospitals catch it. It will already have spread as has been happening in care homes and hospitals. Idont think these will have theatres. Will the non covid patients have to go covid hospitals for theatres. What about specialities like burns, cardiac, children, maternity etc

Yes my post above is another graph, doubt your brain can understand it mind.

Confirmed COVID deaths over the last 2 week period.

Sweden 967
Finland 82
Norway 46
Denmark 159.

Compare Sweden to its neighbours, not UK.

Sweden 23 people per km/sq
UK 280 people per km/sq

UK is far more densely populated and as many have said not been firm enough on managing the rules they put in place.

The UK would be in far better place if selfish ignorant idiots actually followed the rules.

Back to Sweden, their response, which has been reported as a disaster has resulted in far more deaths than in their direct neighbours, who they should be in the same ball park number with.

Do you realise Wales is even smaller compared to Sweden 58 deaths in Wales today 23 in Sweden your going to have to produce another chart to try and convince us that this is not true. oh and by the way forget going back two weeks, the daily death rate for Sweden over the past 8 months averages out at appx 20 a day.

Wales is also part of an Island suffering due to dullards.

Oh i see so that is the reason little old Wales a country in a constant state of shutdowns and restrictions have for quite a while now been having more daily deaths than a country that did not shut down have fewer restrictions and to this day continue normal medical care its the dullards peoples of Wales is fault, you should have explained that earlier mun, you may very well have a valid point, i think the Swedish certainly have a far stronger and respectful mentality than Brits, no doubt about that.

You keep doing this compare the death rate of Sweden to the UK nonsense.

To get a fix on the effect of their response you have to compare to Countries similar to them, ie their neighbours.

The UK is far more densely populated than Sweden. Compare apples with apples.

So densely populated UK has 750, Sweden who are about 1/10th of the density of UK is 23, Swedens neighbours, Norway 1, Finland 5 and Denmark 17.

I don't believe anyone has stated how good the UK's response is, what do you think the death rate in the UK would have been had they followed Sweden's example?

UK's response has been weak, the enforcement weaker. At ground level you have donkeys who ignore the requirements.

The population density of Sweden has always been a bit of a misconception. Most Swedes don't live in huts in the middle of nowhere. Urban population density is broadly similar to other European countries.

The general theory behind the Swedish plan was that most deaths due to Covid are highly likely to be amongst those who, with the best will in the world, were statistically likely to die within twelve months anyway. The belief was that drastically locking down society ultimately wouldn't have prevented these deaths, just prevented Covid from being the cause.

If, come the end of this, the Swedish death rate for all causes is broadly similar to its neighbours they'll probably feel quite justified. If it's significantly higher, they'll have been shown to have failed.

My gut instinct is that they'll come out of it worse than their neighbours, but not all that much worse. Which won't provide a definitive answer either way, and provoke endless debate for years to come.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
