Not really sure what yours is either. If you have Sky, Netflix, Prime or any other subscription services you can get afford to your Nan a licence, probably at concessionary rates, and then she can happily watch stress free TV in peace. It’s a choice. You choose to moan a lot.

It's not difficult to get your address registered as not needing one.

Nope each room counts as a separate residence so they need a separate license apparently. She’s completely bed ridden, got no visitors so at the moment she’s just lying there staring at the wall 24 hours a day.
Its a complete and utter disgrace the licence fee must be scrapped.
Give the BBC 5 years with decreasing the licence fee down to nothing over that period and let them go subscription for those that want it.
Just one question ,given the awful circumstances you've just described haven't your family had a whip round for the fee given that the unfortunate lady is bedridden and no doubt depends on the TV?
I'm not suggesting that its right that you should have to, but under the circumstances.

I seldom watch any of the traditional channels, utility companies would not cut off a 99 year old and as for Lineker the guy is funded by a general tax and should be on a civil servant salary.
