I guess you have to have regular contact with members of the public to truly appreciate what massive c*nts a lot of them are.

As some say Wales follow Scotland to the promised land. In fact Wales is a blueprint on how not to run a country, I hope other countries look and learn because we are stuffed.

Sadly, one death is a death too many and a less felt by the family of the deceased. Drugs deaths have also risen in England, some areas including the North East of England have much higher death rates from substance abuse than Wales. The areas with the lowest rates of drugs deaths were the South East and London, generally the areas seen to have the lowest levels of poverty - there is research linking drugs deaths to poverty. I’m not sure there s a tangible link between MUP and drugs, but the BMJ recently carried an article highlighting the benefits MUP. I wouldn’t have an issue with a reasonable MUP if the additional revenue raised went on detox services to help the people with alcohol and substances problems, but as it goes straight in to the retailers bottom line I’m very much against it. Not sure what the answer is to the country’s drug problem because existing legislation hasn’t worked and ther3 don’t appear to be many alternatives on offer to be honest.
Mr Drakeford on 17:28 - Aug 3 with 741 views | felixstowe_jack | Drug deaths per 1 million of population 2020 Scotland 245 NI 96 England 50 Wales 47 Statistically little or no significance between England and Wales. Some English regions ate higher than Wales some are lower. Wales death figures are not broken down by regions so hard to say if there are more deaths in Wales I poor areas or richer areas.

"Statistically little or no significance between England and Wales" There's a huge difference in population between England and Wales, so surely there is a significant difference.

Um no! In terms of the overall number of deaths yes, many more people died in England but the KPI is deaths per million and it’s done that way so that comparisons can easily be made to between the base line figures. Scotland and England have larger populations than Wales while Norther Ireland has a smaller figure.
Mr Drakeford on 18:50 - Aug 3 with 686 views | Boundy | It would appear that the divs in Butetown failed to carry out an economic impact assessment on the introduction of the 20mph speed limit about to be imposed on us all , if they couldn't be arsed in Cardiff then there's no hope it's been carried out for the rest of us

A totally misleading comparison IMO. Wales with a higher proportion of an elderly population, who I would imagine would be less likely to die of a drug related death, make the comparison questionable. Deaths on the rise is not.

2021 figures drug deaths figures published today Deaths per million of population Wales male 102 female 48 England male 74 female 40. Seems last year figures show Welsh deaths for men are 37% higher and females 20% higher last years figures Welsh deaths WERE significantly higher.

Truss (& Sunak) were spot on in describing Drakeford. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-62415842 Any working person with any nous will no doubt agree with "Whether it's stopping the M4 relief road, whether it's whacking a tax on our tourist industry, I will crack down on his negativity about Wales, and about the United Kingdom."

The concept of making voting more accessible to all is sound, if you don't try you don’t know, but the £1.5m seems very expensive and I’d like to know where the moneys been spent.

Its not for English Tory leaders to judge the democratically elected governments of Scotland and Wales. That falls to the people of Scotland and Wales. Btw both Comrade Nicola and Prof Drakers have mandates from elections behind them. A few elderly men in south east England will decide the next uk pm. No mandate at all. The confidence of the BritNats in tbe Tory party holds no bounds. Deluded and drunk on power. Annibyniaeth ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿â¤ï¸

Thing is, these are monumentally bad ideas just on paper. It shouldn't take £33m to find that out. It was obvious from the start. Forcing cars to drive around in low gear clearly isn't going to do anything for either emissions or the flow of traffic. Why did this even get out of a committee room? Why wasn't the person who suggested it laughed out of the place rather then encouraged to go further with it?

So you think it was money well spent then. How much did the research (if any) for giving children the vote cost ?.

In theory all councils could reject it, as is their right under the legislation, where does he go from there.
