| Booing of the British national anthem yesterday. 15:06 - May 30 with 8448 views | OptimisticJack | Normally I am so proud of our fans but felt totally embarrassed by our fans booing the British anthem yesterday. I do feel that the announcer prior should have announced that the Welsh anthem would follow and may have prevented some booing. We are playing in the English league. All too often we suspect that the powers to be dont want us Welsh teams in the top flight. Things like this add fuel to the fire. It may just be the actions that influence the minds of referees and lean decisions against us. The referee yesterday certainly didn't give us a thing and from early on I could see a red card and penalties coming against us. We are not doing ourselves any favours.

| Booing of the British national anthem yesterday. on 19:59 - May 31 with 1053 views | cockneyswan | I was there on Saturday as an English proud Swans fan, I have no love for the Royals and would be happy to see a democratic decision to abolish them , however I was embarrassed to hear many swans fans booing the national anthem, yes Brentford also booed but I would have liked us to show some class, show some respect and be better than them, the booing just sounded childish. | | | |

| Booing of the British national anthem yesterday. on 16:17 - May 31 by onehunglow | Is right Welsh has nowt to do with it.Apart from Ben and Roberts yesterday, the Welsh anthem flew over our players heads.Like Ryan Giggs, they looked terrified of it. Away games at Connah's Quay and Flint (Fflint) don't really do it for me. That is what Welsh football is about. |

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Top post. I find it staggering that the likes of Kilkenny & DYSS get a response from posters on this board. It’s a shame Keith’s board is spoiled by such childish individuals. We all have different views the majority can debate in a grown up way.

Dont. We cannot allow people to be so jaundiced and it's our job to help them. We are a community -of sorts and we need to help them. Killy and tramp are on a par but in fairness are far from being the vicious foul lying posters that cause trouble.-and enjoy it.

Look up Ted Crocker RIP. FA chairman. England v Wales in the 1970s, Home international or World cup game the FA refused to play MHWYH as GSTQ covered both countries. The Welsh team I think sang it themselves to dersion from the Wembley faithfull. Things went on in those days that a rapidly whitewashed from history like Welsh support for the aperthied regime in south Africa and the 'Jones choir' organised by a WRU dignitary.

| Booing of the British national anthem yesterday. on 21:34 - May 31 with 935 views | ReslovenSwan1 | The booing could relate to distaste for the Royal family perhaps?. They are known to be grossly overpaid and do not even do their job propertly. This is a genarally accepted form of expression in a democratic country and not considered a crime in a free country. I cannot therefore criticise the people booing. The first son of the Queen was lobbying secretly behind the back of the public in support of his own agenda and therefore interfering in national democratic processes. The guy must be really dim. He has recently had the 2nd Severn bidge named after him without democratic discussion or reference the Welsh Government nor Somerset and Avon county council representatives. The second son is reportedly wanted by the FBI over very serious illegal activities but is not apparently cooperating. The third son refused to do millitary service and is a bit of a joke figure that has disappeared from view but still getting a chunky income. Not quite sure what he is upto to be honest. One grandson is milking the taxpayer with his show biz wife and has not given up his tittles. He did however apparently fight for Queen and country so has credit in the bank there. They have decided there are better things to be doing rather than opening Youth centres in Essex or even worse Rhondda. The same people have spoken . God bless them. No one is listening except a few oddballs on a football forum. You can boo the Queen but not a BLM gesture apparently. 2021 UK. [Post edited 31 May 2021 21:37]

” The third son refused to do millitary service and is a bit of a joke figure that has disappeared from view.” He didn’t refuse at all, that’s grossly unfair, he gave it a go (perhaps pushed, probably obligated) and didn’t come up to the mark. It’s what it is. I doubt one in a hundred lads, maybe the odds are higher, is physically or mentally capable of earning a green beret. There’s no ‘shame’ in that, the Marines are an elite, most folk aren’t able to rise to that level.

| Booing of the British national anthem yesterday. on 01:40 - Jun 1 with 843 views | Badlands | The national anthem used by England is also the anthem used to represent Britain thereby making England dominant over the other constituent parts all of whom have their own anthems. Symbolism is all in these matters. The use of GSTQ is a direct message that England rules. GSTQ is imposed by England. | |

Well the Lions team that toured South Africa was packed with welsh players - and the black people supported that Lions team. Footage of try celebrations in the grounds is very clear to see. Of course they should not have gone, but naive is probably the most likely cause. Gareth Edwards has said as much. I am pretty sure there was no ‘welsh support for the apartheid regime’.
