The guiding principles of the club set up by the former chairman persist today all be it with different personalities. The guiding hands persist in the ownership with Huw Jenkins and Martin Morgan, Their actual influence is a legacy I suspect rather than current dialogue. Levien and Kaplan bought into the 'Jenkinista' narrative. Silverstein may also have. They are learning on the job and taking this back to the USA. They are very smart cookies and i suspect decent folks.

The "sell outs" are actually still shareholders and seem content to hold on to to their shares because they believe in the clubs strategy (they helped form) and vision. They like me realise dilution is a red herring. When the club comes to sell in the Premier leagues dilution in cash terms will be over shadowed by football inflation. People do not like me mentioning Burnley for obvious reasons. Sold for £200m 5 years after Swansea was sold for £100m, Swansea was either massively undersold or inflation has been great,

Tate wants to be a manager. He has seen them all Flynn to Martin. He wants to be a manager. As I explained he is not eloquent enough to convince people he can manage Swansea. Its a huge risk. Same for Toshack. Go away play the game for 18 month like Martin and the picture is different. I have not heard Tate speak like Routledge and Britton did. Tatey clearly believes in "Cooper ball".

The point is the continuity is provided by the local shareholders not Alan Tate who was never a pure football technician and has never talked like Routledge does of philosophies.

Jenkins's problem was the same as Potters. Poor recruitment in the end. I am suggesting now we have a "dream scenario" of a good manager, good DoF and good recruitment. The whole club is pulling together. Owners, chairman, recruitment academy staff former and present shareholders. What is fans group is doing is up to them.

Well Huw Jenkins of 'Jenknista' fame apparently hasn't attended a single shareholders meeting since he was sacked - so he has no guiding hand whatsoever. What are they taking back to the USA!? What does that mean? Learning on the job? How long is it going to take them?

Or because they were happy with what they were offered for the amount of shares that the Americans wanted to buy - which due to the sellouts they didn't need spend anymore because they threw their voting rights in. So the Americans have total control but only had to for 68% of the club. But your story's very nice. And as I say, they've already made millions, dilution doesn't really affect them.
I have no problem with you mentioning Burnley but it's a completely irrelevant comparison seeing as they are currently an 8/9 year premier league club who own their own stadium. Swansea City are not.

Wow some actual Tate based talk there. Unlike you to actually stick to the thread subject. Fair play.

Well why do you want Routledge involved then? If it's just a case of some sellouts still owning shares, that's already in existence.

In what way are 'former shareholders pulling together' then? Publically proclaiming on twitter that our million plus pound striker is terrible and a bad signing doesn't to me sound like perfect harmony between all those things you proclaim.
The minority shareholder you no longer speak about you mean?

A bit of house keeping. Are you sure HJ has not attended any board meetings? You use the word 'apparently' so sounds as if you are not sure. As ex chairman he may have logically felt he was better served staying out of decision making having stepped down. He of course, was not sacked. He stepped down and gave up a good salary as he said he would.

Levien Kaplan and Silverstein* are all US sports investors and owners. They own a famous UK football team in the toughest richest football country in the world. They have had ups and downs and made mistakes and great calls. They would have to be idiots not to have learned anything along the way.

I am all for synergies. Swansea city is a US-Welsh owned enterprise. I want to seem ore Arriola's and Morris's over here and Swansea players in the MLS. Garrick Ollie Cooper, Benda, Latibeaudiere for example.

The shares and voting rights were up for sale. The sellers accepted the price for both. Why not? It was theirs to sell. I assume it is a legitimate practice. Boardroom manoeuvrings are part of business. The fans must have entered this world with their eyes open?. In my opinion if the fans wanted to sell part of their stake they would have.

Burnley will match Swansea's 7 seasons in the PL this season. Two of Dyche's 9 seasons were in the Championship. Swansea city effectively own the stadium for the next 30 plus years under commercial letting laws.

Routledge comes over to me to be a thinker and a highly liked and respected figure. Both Birch and Cooper talked of him in glowing terms. He is also a fan of Brendan Rogers coaching articulated well. Hugely skilful. I like to think he has more in common with Martin than Cooper. He seems like a good man to invest in coaching courses . I have questioned if he is hungry enough to do a day job with millions in the bank. Perhaps he is asking that question himself. Leon walked away from the job he was given.

I was referring to the former shareholders that still hold an interest. One former shareholder still had the chair in related club side activities until recently. The gentleman sponsoring the stadium had sold some of his shares. I personally do not put much importance on twitter nonsense. I believe the post you were referring to was withdrawn as he must have considered it unwise. He was one of the more flamboyant members of the board by all accounts. I seem to remember he recommended Ferrie Bodde to the club?. what a player he was. Hopefully the new Dutch master will stay injury free.

That is a truly excellent post, in so many ways. Your continued steadfastness to your beliefs is admirable, and a lesson to many. A wake up call to many too, I'm sure. A light bulb moment for some, maybe.....

There's none so blind as those who will not see. So apt right now, in so many ways.

The influence of the Jenkinistas is still massive, much to the chagrin of the sheeple.

If Martin truly is under the wing of the Jenkinstas then it has to be a massively good thing for the club. A return to the Swansea Way.

All the signs are there:
- massive, unrivalled investment in Martin's squad
- recruitment of proper Swans-type / Jenkinista players
- Tate ousted
- more ongoing influence from MM
.....
Word on the leafy lanes down here in south Gower is that Russ is staying at MM's luxury mansion. Unprecedented stuff and augurs well for the house Martins.

If the Jenkinistas are behind this seismic change, then them portents are actually now looking up, fair play. This could be the gamechanger. A truly cunning plan in the making, maybe. Winter simply a foil, a veneer for something far more potent underneath.

If that is actually the case : In Martins we trust.........

Best of luck to Alan, he’s more Jack than many. I do think it’s a shame that these types leave the club and with it goes the standard of what this club means. No doubt Tatey would impart that on anyone he crosses paths with.

I am sure he will succeed at Forest. Best wishes and thanks for the service.

Having not attended any of the meetings myself I can't guarantee it, but someone who does attend those meetings has said it and it hasn't been disputed. Hmm you're mixing yourself up in your false narrative's again. You're now saying he wasn't sacked- presumably then you can't put any blame on the trust then regarding him being removed from his position? That was your party line a few months ago.

No relevance to Tate in the 2nd paragraph. Well I'd hope you'd be right. We'll have to see.

Yes you're all for synergies. But not when it involves any of our more famous owners lending us some of their fame. Then it's not the right thing to do.

Why not? Because anyone with backbone would keep their voting rights and then use their vote accordingly for what they think is good for the club. Selling them lock stock before even knowing what direction the incoming buyers are going to take the club stinks of desperation to get a deal done at all costs let alone subservience. Are you talking about a minor shareholder again there that you said you don't talk about anymore? Well that minor shareholder is going to the trouble of a court case to potentially sell their shares. Been patently obvious for years that are open to the idea.

Yes but we can't go back in time and sell the club 4 years ago when we were a Premier league. The club will get bought and sold on its current merit. Which is currently at a different level to that of Burnley no matter how much you try and tart it up.

Well Winter hasn't used his political gut instinct that he's apparently deployed to skillfully in navigating the club so I wouldn't worry about Routledge.

Well you stated 'forner shareholders'. That's quite explicit. You typed the word former. So not sure how Katzen has pulled in the right direction recently? Ah so he said it, but you're choosing to ignore it because it was on twitter? That's ok then. Well that 'former shareholder" certainly didn't recommend Piroe that's for sure

Good. I am all for seeing former players such as Britton, Williams and Routledge given roles within the club.

They are model professionals, good role models for younger players in how to conduct yourselves on and off the pitch, and possess a proven ability of adapting to playing with the ball at your feet under pressure.

I was bemused when Tate was given a coaching role and I am happy to see he is moving elsewhere, some may even use the words forced out.

It still surprises me that people called 'Pikey Paul' know so much about hedge fund workings. Not all hedge funds are committed asset strippers.
