Well we are Moving on up and Everythings gonna be alright and if he keeps this going and we beat Cardiff it'll be the Greatest day.....you started it I think I'm feeling more positive today than yesterday but I did just watch someone get a good thrashing at Blackburn

| How positive are you this evening? on 11:10 - Sep 26 with 855 views | jackrmee | I was already very positive about it all. THe Huddersfield win has brought me more of a relief than positivity tbh. I'm relieved now that we have finally got the win and the players can believe a bit more. I'm also relieved that there should be less negativity on here and from the sounds of it, in the stands too. Hopefully the boo boys can back off for a while. I am really happy with the signings and the depth of the squad. A couple more improvements in January and we will be really strong. I was already positive and excited about the manager too. It's not blind faith. Its open eyed faith. Fitness will continue to get better. Players who are eager to learn will get better. Fluidity will get better. Confidence will get better. Positivity on here will get better. Can't ask for more tbh. STID! | |

Russ says they are not fit enough which makes one wonder as to what they do in training. If we cant do it for 90 mins then surely we should adapt accordingly.

| How positive are you this evening? on 22:24 - Sep 25 by Catullus | After being married 14 years I came hoping to hear snoring I'm feeling quite positive, not hugely because there are still obvioulsy things to improve on but it's another step forward and as long as we are moving in the right direction, no matter what the negative nora's say, it's all good. There's no shoulda, coulda, woulda from me, we won 1-0, that's enough. PS, the first line isn't true but I couldn't resist! |

Not yet, evidently. Looks like they need to get a lot fitter. That will come with more and more games, as well as some tough training by the looks of it.

I never considered it bilnd faith anyway, that's believeing in something with absolutely no evidence and we've had evidence of improvement, the 3 league games before Hudders were all signs of imrprovement. The first few games we mostly thought were going to be hard, well obviously a few people were highly critical after those first few games, didn't give the new manager and players a fair crack. PS, MAx, if this is still the honeymoon I've had it, I'll never carry her over the threshold when we get home, not with the state of my knees....and her waistline

The difference after Saturday from some posters on here is nice to see, noticed a few who have been on Martin's back have been a bit more positive... that is a terrific sign for me. Its not about right ot wrong but about giving the manager a bit of backing and support in what is arguably going to be an important year of transition AND that needs to be realised quickly. Think Saturdays win was much welcome for many.. Martin, staff, players, fans.

The difference you will see is that those who have supported Martin and been positive, the win was expected and nothing to gloat about. It's funny and sad when we lose and the usual suspects fall over themselves to post and gloat, quote poor stats, predict relegation, question training methods, bad recruitment, rooky manager , no investment. Their time will come again because it wont be plain sailing. But for now, yes enjoy the silence.

Absolutely.... Knock when we lose but then claim a morale victory for some personal view when we win. Its Truely pathetic but not seeing it is even more so pathetic. All has been called for is patience for Martin and the plan, its a year of transition and a season that will mot replicate the last 2 seasons finishes due to further financial restrictions, losing some quality players......we need to accept this and quick.

This was a 1-0 win after 3 draws. Many question need to be asked unless you are a happy clapper in which cae you feel it your duty to abuse other fans not a loyal or edifying as you. We win,and people's first thought is not to celebrate but rip into other fans of the same club. Its a question seldom asked. Get a room boys

Well it's not rocket science, a successful manager will receive praise, an unsuccessful one will receive criticism just like in every other walk of life. Not sure about this moot point about the need to back the manager on a forum either. For a start they shouldn't be reading forums or Twitter etc, that's a bad idea in every situation. So what is written in here should have no bearings whatsoever. It's just people giving their opinion talking about football. It's not like Martin is getting abuse to his face (or in here much in reality), the fans at games in the stadium have been very supportive of the team whether they would have done things differently to Martin or not. The boos at some games in my opinion were for the ref.

"The boos at some games in my opinion were for the ref." LOL. Last week boos were at the Manager more than the team. But not at the ref. That's laughable.

Well why then when Martin walked around the pitch at the end of the game and clapped the fans wasn't he booed then? No it was for the terrible ref who didn't give the nailed on pen on Laird and for the ref who blew up for full time when we were on the attack.

Are you Dr P or do you just want to be like him! Its all pending on what you think is success and if that success can be judged in single figures of league games.... Either way, this season is going to be different to the last few years in finances, style and player quality. This season is a season of transition and a foundation build if you like and that doesn't happen overnight. Why shouldn't they read forums or twitter!? They have as much right as you and I to read them... If you don't think they should then that's a personal view. I can assure you that staff read this page.... If Martin does, I couldn't say but God help him if he does. As a finishing note and as i wrote earlier, it has been refreshing to see certain posters actually show a bit of positivity after yesterday's win but disappointing that they have had to put a little side note on it to save face. I think people need to support the club rather than trying to justify them always being right.... If they don't then they need to look for and sign up for "I have a big ego" type forum rather than push their agendas for their own personal victories on a Swansea City forum.

Are you Itchy or do you just like to be like him? So we aren't allowed to make observations surrounding what occurs when we get better results then? Just have to close the mouth and go with the narrative? Come on now.

I'm not him / her. I have disagreed with that poster on a lot of subjects. Of course it is, but a generally accepted standard of success in football is winning games, or at least putting in decent performances. Which is what is happening currently. Hence praise as opposed to criticism. I don't see what good would come of it. Better they stick to their principles and what they see on training the ground rather than getting to emotionally invested in what goes on in forums or Twitter. Don't start this again. You're deliberately being vague again as a get out clause. We both know what you're referring to. You'll start claiming other people got the wrong end of the stick again now. Well it depends on what the club does. Unconditionally supporting the club's every move isn't a viable option. By that logic you should never suggest one of your unknown foreign signings again, safe in the knowledge that you'll be supportive of the club in whoever they sign even though it could patently be a terrible signing.

Well that makes 2 of us getting the wrong end of the stick.... I can agree to disagree but many can't. Reading this post, I can't really get what you ate trying to say as it makes little to no sense. One thing I can say is that plenty of posters over the years have got the wrong end of the stick.... That is the only thing I can really reply to but that can be wiped off I suppose because it is vague but ultimately still the truth, people regularly get things wrong 😉

Which bit specifically are you having trouble understanding? Or in reality do you just have no viable reply so you are getting defensive?

| How positive are you this evening? on 10:16 - Sep 26 by Thornburyswan | ……ish for me, we’ve had a solid week from around 4pm last Saturday & you can see improvement coming through but fair bit of work, particularly in the final third, to do to see a full 90 minutes on full throttle. PS subs yesterday were very Cooperesque - although maybe a tad earlier in the half - & suspect a few on here would be having a field day if Huddersfield had nicked an equaliser. |
.. This is poor form Thorny, and so very early. Truly doesn't augur well for having an objective voice in Trust deliberations representing the proper fans. You're predictably succumbing to the meek. The trust way. Look around you, and next door. Think back as to why you chose to stand. Stand, for a reason. Whatever you do, do not fold like so many before you. . .
