Russia invade Ukraine 14:17 - Dec 23 with 152344 viewsFlynnidine_Zidownes

Discuss.

Also why is Putin always described in the media as this rugged strongman? He’s barely five foot tall with his high heels on.

But that’s another debate.

Where do the Russians stop ?, at the border of the separatist held territory, at the the 'official' border of the two regions or if they come under attack do they carry on sweeping through the Ukraine onto Kiev and beyond taking the lot.

Will Russia invade Ukraine? on 01:46 - Feb 22 by Ajack_Kerouac

There always were Russian boots on the ground in Eastern Ukraine...that's how they took Crimea back without firing a shot, the soldiers just came out of their bases (in Crimea) and stood guard at government buildings...
It got reported as an invasion over here of course, but there was no invasion.
You have to understand the history of the region.

To understand it imagine this;

- There is no UK (for our purposes, the Soviet Union)

- Wales (the Ukraine) have historic ties to Cornwall (Eastern Ukraine and Crimea)

- The UK (Soviet Union) is formed and the architects of this political union in London (Moscow) decide that Cornwall (Eastern Ukraine/Crimea)...which has historically been a part of England (Russia) will be included in the administrative state of Wales (Ukraine)

- Wales (the Ukraine) is strategically important to the UK (Soviet Union) as it is the best farming land, Cornwall (Eastern Ukraine/Crimea) has always been of military importance to England (Russia) and that does not change now that we are all part of the UK (Soviet Union.

- During the union (UK/Soviet Union) English (Russian) people from other parts of England (Russia) move to Cornwall (Eastern Ukraine/Crimea) in significant numbers due to the increased military bases built there and the expansion of state employment there.
The Cornish are now outnumbered, but it is not seen as a big deal as Cornwall (Eastern Ukraine/Crimea) has always been part of England (Russia)

- Then the UK (Soviet Union) breaks up, it fails, it goes bankrupt and the different countries that make up the union go their own way.
You might expect that Cornwall (Eastern Ukraine/Crimea) is returned to England (Russia) but this does not happen...principally because England (Russia) can no longer afford to support the region, bloody Socialism hey!...

- England (Russia) says to Wales (Ukraine), "you can continue to have Cornwall...you've had it for the last 60 years after all...all we ask is that we can continue to hold our military bases there as it is strategically important for us and you don't let our enemies France (USA) and the EU (NATO) set up shop there or in Wales"

- Wales (Ukraine) agrees to this. France (USA) and the EU (NATO) agrees to this

- Peace reigns for 20 years

- Then Monsieur Obama/Biden and Madame Clinton start making moves on Wales to try and get them to join the EU (NATO) and allow France (USA) to put missiles in Wales capable of wiping London (Moscow) off the map.

- A pro English (Russian) government is elected in Wales (Ukraine) as a result of this development...the English (Russians) living in Wales (Ukraine) and Cornwall (Eastern Ukraine/Crimea) get very nervous and have the weight of numbers due to so many moving to Wales/Cornwall during the Union.
The pro-England (Russia) movement in Cornwall/Wales is calling for England to step in before it's too late.

- The Frenchies (Biden/Clinton etc.) organise a coup in Wales (Ukraine) and overthrow the pro-England (Russia) government...

- ...it is at this point the English (Russians) decide enough's enough and order their troops to leave their bases in Cornwall and stand guard for the pro-England (Russia) politicians who now declare themselves independent from Wales (Ukraine).
Not a shot is fired, the population wanted this...no troops needed to invade, they were already there

- France and the EU continues to agitate about the situation and encourage the Welsh to prepare for the day when they will take Cornwall back, they supply training and weapons to the Welsh.
England is patient for 8 long years as they continue to declare that they will never accept that Wales joins the EU or stations French weapons/troops there and are ignored by Wales and France...the English (Russians) declare that Cornwall always was English and will continue to be for the forseeable future...they want France and the EU to recognise this reality formally...without this situation being resolved England (Russia) is under existential threat.

- There is a political fracturing in France and some Commie crims shamelessly steal an election and install the 'Weekend at Bernie's Presidency' of Monsieur Biden.
Nobody in France believes Monsieur Biden is their leader, nobody in the army (other than a few nutty officers) would take orders from the corpse or lay down their life for the crims who engineered this situation. France is on the verge of a civil war as a result of the actions of these criminals.

- NOW ENGLAND (RUSSIA) SEIZES IT'S CHANCE TO PUT PRESSURE ON A WEAK FRANCE (USA) BY THREATENING TO INVADE WALES (UKRAINE). FRANCE CONTINUES TO PRETEND THEY ARE BILLY BIG BOLLOCKS - ENGLAND HAS TO YANK FRANCE'S CHAIN BY PULLING VARIOUS STUNTS ON THE WELSH BORDER IN ORDER TO GET FRANCE TO SIT AT THE NEGOTIATING TABLE...FRANCE DOESN'T WANT TO LOSE FACE HOWEVER ...AND THEY DON'T CARE, AFTER ALL IT WON'T BE FRENCH PEOPLE DYING IF ENGLAND INVADE, IT WILL BE THOSE DUMB WELSHMEN...SO ENGLAND THEN HAS MAKE SHIT A BIT MORE REAL FOR THEM WITH SOME MILITARY ACTION IN CORNWALL.

...Hopefully France (USA) will see sense, but if they don't the Welsh (Ukrainians) probably will, it is their sons that will be sent off to die after all.
England doesn't want to invade Wales (Ukraine), they can't afford to sustain occupation of Wales, they are happy enough with Cornwall...they just need it set in stone that Wales is not on the playing board for France & the EU...no amount of verbal assurances will be enough...they have lost their trust in the Welsh and have always distrusted the French.
THEY NEED IT ON PAPER WITNESSED BY THE WORLD, A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT.
They are prepared to keep their troops stationed along the Welsh border and occasionally shell Wales from now until forever, they've got the time and are not under any pressure...if France ever went to war with England over Wales London is quite prepared to wipe Paris off the map (knowing it would be guaranteed mutual destruction)

The soldiers just came out of their bases eh?

https://www.timesofisrael.com/ukraine-russia-sending-thousands-of-troops-to-crim

Of course it was an invasion it was just that the Ukraines armed forces were a shambles and couldn't respond.
These Russian troops crossing the border now, an invasion. Comparing it to Kosovo is complete twaddle, did any country send an armed force into kosovo to enforce "independence" and then explain to me how Ukraine has become independent when Russia, if it goes all the way will install a puppet government?

Macron, what an A$$ wipe, he wanted Ukraine to rill over and accept a Finlandian agreement where the government can basically only do what Russia agrees to.

It's a sh/tfest and it hasn't ended.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

They stop when Biden and his band of Commies sign a piece of paper that guarantees they won't ever allow Ukraine into NATO.
It has been the same demand for 8 years.

Why won't NATO agree to that if it means avoiding war, possibly a nuclear war?
They are playing poker with other people's (the Ukrainian's) money and they have a pair of 2s. Putin is staring dead eyed at them and is stacking the pot higher and higher...he holds a pair of Aces, he is hoping somebody on the other side has the sense to fold....he doesn't want to take all of the Ukraine's money, that would leave him with an ongoing, neverending problem.

Yes they did and if you read that article properly you will see that little games are being played with language...it is just accusations, no proof...and you will also see that it;

- Confirms my account of the history of the region
- adds in the fact that Ukraine depends on Russian energy and isn't paying their bills
- and points out that the Russians froze prices and agreed to buy a chunk of Ukrainian debt, to help finance them, but Ukraine still didn't pay their bills...so Russia only bought 20% of the debt they had agreed to finance

...meanwhile the puppet government installed by the Americans and Ukrainian energy companies both took money off the US (to avoid economic collapse) and paid bribe money to Biden and Clinton.
In effect, they were hoping to rent the services of Wall Street and the US military in order to avoid responsibility for the mess they had created...a mess fostered by Obama/Clinton/Biden and the EU (who should all be fecking ashamed of themselves).

The Liberal elites of the West are living in a delusion...and now they have chosen to turn full fascist they can send their own kids off to fight the Ukrainian's battles for them, as far as the likes of me is concerned.
Let's see some Guardian readers and their children tool up and get their arse on some ships/planes to the Ukraine.
Put the pink and purple headed tw*ts who have been engaging in violence across the West up against the Russian army and do it now.

When you tell lies and live a lie you are guaranteeing a date when you will get mugged by reality...and here we are.

They had an election in the Ukraine and the pro-Russia party won...Clinton/Obama/Biden then removed that elected government, they ordered the CIA to instigate a colour revolution.
They have led the Ukraine to this point and they could call it off today by sitting down with Russia and agreeing that Ukraine will forever remain a neutral country on Russia's border...in return they could ask for concessions in the East of Ukraine, some kind of devolved government.
Crimea will be off the table though as it is too important to Russia and has always been an important Russian military base.

Comparing it to the UK was perfectly apt. If the UK broke apart...let's say Scotland left, and then Scotland started making moves to join a military alliance with our enemies, whilst simultaneously taking our energy and not paying for it...shit would get real, quick.

The leaders of the West are overgrown children who went to University and had their heads filled full of shit by deluded left-wing professors who have been proven wrong on everything for decades.
It's all just a game for them.
They don't understand that there are people out there in the World who are prepared to fight and die, even if it hurts them and their interests, for principles.

Russia will never accept NATO on their border in Ukraine...this is because we have not done anything to build any trust with them after the collapse of the Soviet Union, we continued to treat them like a mortal enemy, and because the Ukrainians who engaged in this colour revolution have destroyed Russia's trust in them also.

If you can't see things from your enemies perspective you are doomed to fail.
It's like Russell Martin sending out the team in the same formation with the same style of play, same instructions regardless of our opposition or our own current circumstances.
This is stupid.
If you want to defeat your enemy, or even just get a good result that you can live with, you have to first understand them

The Higher Learning curriculum is "right-wing"?!?!?

That sentence alone is the kind of thing that leads people to discount everything else you have to say.
It is obviously a long way from the truth.

It seems the narrative can be reversed when it suits. Labour are red tories and Uni is right wing...laughable.

Ajack, in one post it's Biden and his bunch of Commies then later on they've gone full fascist, come on, which one is it?

Also, understanding your enemies point of view is very different to agreeing with it. In fact, Sun Tzu said, Know the enemy and know yourself in a hundred battles you will never be in peril. When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. If ignorant both of your enemy and of yourself, you are certain in every battle to be in peril. So knowing your enemy and their motivation is vital.

Commies and fascists go hand in hand...anyone who understands History knows that.

Mussolini and the Fascists grew out of Socialism.
It is no coincidence that Germany's Fascists were called the 'National Socialists'.
European 'Fascists' and the 'Communists' (Marxist socialists) of the Soviet Union essentially believe the same thing...that the State owns everything.

What characterises the West is a belief in freedom.
What guarantees freedom?
The rights of the individual enshrined in law.
Where did we get the idea that the rights of the individual were sacred?
We got it from our Judeo-Christian tradition where the idea that human life is sacred and that humans are 'God's' greatest creation, that we have a higher purpose.

There can be no form of socialism, Communism, Fascism etc. whilst the rights of the individual are enshrined in law...as the State needs to be able to compel people against their will; "For the greater good".

This is why the Left has to attack all institutions which stands for the rights of the individual. In Europe this all started with the French revolution. In order to remove the tyrannical king and destroy the institution of Monarchy the people had to rebel against the false idea that their King was blessed by God. Once this mental barrier had been broken this led to;

- a sustained attack on the Church and Christianity
- the elevation of rights over responsibilities
- an attack on male/female relationships in order to break apart the nuclear family
- the division of peoples who had previously been unified on their traditional beliefs, who bought into the ideas that had emanated from Christianity and had percolated throughout our populations over centuries...in order to get them to accept the new ideas, the new morality.
- attacks on institutions steeped in Judeo-Christian culture
- attacks on law and order
- attacks on the US Constitution
etc.

You will see these themes in Socialist run countries and the Fascist states of the early 20th century.
The only difference between them is cosmetic.

Socialists divide and destroy based on class/income.
Nazis divide and destroy based on race/genes.
Both of them divide and destroy in the name of the greater good, in the name of the State.
Both of them seized the means of production and destroyed individuals rights under the law.
Both of them persecuted minorities and religion.
Both of them corrupted their populaces, turned people into degenerates, commanded them to do fundamentally immoral acts in the name of the greater good...like fecking Trudeau and co.

Catullus

We understand what Russia's position is.
You are stating that we do not agree with it so we should oppose it...

...so what are you proposing to do?
War?

The Yanks didn't call Vietnam a war , they called it a police action to justify themselves, maybe Russia will do the same

Really? When you can tell your gluteus maximus from a synovial joint maybe I'll listen.

What was it you said Russia's position was? Did you say anything I hadn't already seen on the TV news.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I bet Bojo cannot believe his luck as this whole episode yet again covers over and distracts away from his disgraceful lockdown party antics and his total mishandling of the pandemic.

Anyone noticed the news about the NHS going quietly by today? Thought not as even covid is second and third fiddle now to this 'crisis'.

This is where we are, at the worst possible time with the worst possible government led by the worst ever prime minister who has a complete and utter jackass as his foreign secretary.

You vote in a clown and get the circus that comes with it.

Bojo has been underestimated.
He is very politically adroit .

As for Ukraine, Putin actually stated it wasn’t a real nation

Imagine that being said about Wales

Putin needs a bullet
